The Bermuda Triangle | Charles Berlitz, Joseph Manson Valentine

Pickpick

The Bermuda ‘Triangle‘ in the southern Atlantic Ocean is one of the biggest mysteries that I don‘t think will ever be revealed. For an older book on the subject (1974), the author documents these strange events pretty well and goes into many theories; he does not land on any specific theory but wonders, like the rest of us. Fascinating.

PurpleyPumpkin In the 70s and 80s, the Bermuda Triangle seemed like such a huge thing! I remember shows and movies about it. As a kid, I found it terrifying! Now, you hardly hear about it. 🤔 1mo
JenniferEgnor @PurpleyPumpkin I was obsessed with it (still am). I wonder why there isn‘t much chatter about it these days. I wish all the scary things would just disappear in there. 1mo
mcctrish Where did it go? 1mo
PurpleyPumpkin @JenniferEgnor @mcctrish Exactly! Where indeed? I guess it‘s not in fashion these days but I, too, still find it fascinating. Stacked!📚 1mo

Started today at work, my third Malfi I believe.

Balibee146 I have a couple of his waiting I think. Interested to hear your thoughts 👍 7mo
Luke-XVX @Balibee146 Bone White was decent and Black Mouth which is straight up King‘s IT worship with a non-event ending but still an entertaining read 7mo

Currently reading. Ronald Malfi deserves more recognition for literary horror. He‘s one of my favorites. Happy Halloween! 🎃

Abby Ward lives in a town haunted by disappearances. People vanish, and when they're found, their bodies have been dismembered and sewn back together in unnatural ways. But is it the work of a human killer…or something far darker?

If this author was ever familiar with the term arterial bleed, you wouldn‘t know it from this implausibly plotted novel. One of the major subjects in the story was irrelevant, Apparently only there for shock value.

Super creepy and scarier than most adult horror I‘ve read. 5⭐️

vivastory I haven't read any Darcy Coates, but I heard a review of this and thought it sounded really interesting 2y
Nessavamusic @vivastory this is my third and I‘ve enjoyed all of them. Very original twists on common horror tropes. 2y

Book 6📚 4.5⭐️

This one hooks you from the very first page! There is no delay in its spook!

A town haunted by a serial killer for over 100 years.

I do wish there was more explanation into how “The Stitcher” makes all the weird things in town happen.

Better hide. The Stitchers coming. 🪡🩸

When his brother Aidan goes missing for days and reappears in the attic telling a strange story about where he's been, Lucas doesn't know what to believe. The truth doesn't seem possible, but nothing else makes sense either.
This was an introspective story about family and faith.
