Feeling normal for once. Reading in a Upper West Side coffee shop like pre pandemic 💕. Haven‘t done that in sooo long. Enjoying the existential conversations between the protagonists.

Such a good book, keeps you entertained up until the very end. 9/10
This one really falls in between a pick and a so-so for me. I liked the plot but the execution was not the best. It needed a bit more character development and better descriptive prose. I did like the setting and the main character but everything seemed to just fell into the characters lap. I also figured out who the killer was before the reveal. 3.5 ⭐ #Scarathon2021 @Clwojick #TeamSlaughter #SpookOween #Necronomathon @Patchshank #Wickedathon
This book was more than just the usual ya love fluff I was expecting. It was funny and the writing style was great. Character growth was amazing too.
2 STARS - This was a very weak book. More focus was on making fancy coffees than on developing a decent character & mystery.
This is the 2nd book in the series and I won't be continuing with the rest of the books.

This was just ok- the writing felt very much like you expect from an indie book. (And trust me I HATE saying that bc my top 5 has at least 2 indie authors in it.) Being written in 2004/5 didn‘t age well with some the tech and “thoughts” about coffee. The mystery also seemed too far fetched- like the author sees crime on the news, not understanding how it functions.
