Hubby and I are both big Clive Barker fans (from before we were together). I was lucky enough to meet him several times while he still lived in Liverpool.
Hubby did one better and worked with his brother and got invited to tea whilst Clive was there. Clive drew the pic in the book for hubby. I‘m not jealous.
Clive wrote genius horror/fantasy.

TrishB @Centique yes I went to tea with my fave author will always be cool 😁 6mo
Nute Wow! This is very cool, Trish! What a down-to-earth and casual way of meeting an author, a luncheon chat over tea! It doesn‘t get better than that, unless that author draws you a very cool picture! Awesome memories for you and your husband. 6mo
TrishB @Nute definitely 😁 6mo
Reggie 😭😭😭I‘m not jealous at all of both of you!!! 🖤🖤🖤 He‘s my reading beginning. 6mo
TrishB @Reggie he‘s a great beginning, you know how I love Clive ❤️ 6mo

The Damnation Game | Clive Barker

This book is kind of about being tired and I'm so tired lately. I'd love to read it when I'm in less of a depressive funk, but it's good this time too!
PS both people who are 19 in this book should be a bit older, I think

The first thing I opened was the pack of pens and I literally squealed and ran to find batteries!!! I blinded myself but I'm excited! I have been meaning to order non crappy diamond art pens for so long and I can't wait to try these out. I'm dying to use the bath salts and am digging into the pull n peels (my favourite!) As we speak. Laura Secord makes the best chocolate so I might try that instead of my coffee tomorrow. And the socks....awesome!

FantasyChick Can't wait to read the Barker. I've actually wanted to get my hands on that for a while. Thank you SO much @StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego You amaze as always. I know this year is tough but I do hope you had a good holiday regardless. Much love to you 😘😘😘 #poutinepenpals 8mo

FantasyChick @LeahBergen Aren't they great? I had to hide them from my teen. He loves socks lol 8mo
FantasyChick @Alora Yes! I picked up the hobby about a year ago. It's so relaxing 😌 So happy you liked yours! 8mo

This book wasn‘t so much scary as it was shivers down your spine. The illustrations were haunting and added to the feel of the book. I liked the story and the characters and felt that every was explained well. But, I feel like it was missing that little bit that would make it five-stars. 4⭐️

One of the first horror novels I read as a teenager. I was in love at first read. Two men, Randall and Jaffe, discover a mystical place called the sea of quiddity One wants to use it for evil and one wants to protect it. Their feud will last decades and destroy lives in utterly gnarly ways. Barker never shies away from the body horror. If there is a totally 80‘s horror fantasy novel this is it. Day 1 of 21 days of horror.

johncadams This takes me back! 10mo
vivastory I recognize the title, but I had no idea that's what it was about. Sounds amazing! 10mo
Reggie @johncadams His books remind me of hot summers. His books were some of the first ones when I became a reader in my teens. 10mo
Reggie @vivastory ummmmm it‘s just one of a thousand parts. I think you‘d like it still. 10mo
