I decided to lean into the season for this month‘s #bookspinbingo card with filled it with food-related titles. I hope to actually get to all of them someday!

I went looking for #vintage bookmarks and got distracted by CAKE (the dessert not the band). While this one may have that oldie timey look, it was actually acquired fairly recently as a thank you from the local indie bookseller to all the patrons who bought stuff during the pandemic and kept them afloat.

I thought I had a for real vintage bookmark, but it may have been just a little TOO vintage and got culled. 😕

Susanita Or it could be stashed in a book and I‘m not gonna look through them again 2mo

September is at its best! A Half Baken Idea by Olivia Potts is a book about youth, change and the salvation of the soul. Youth is the time when we enjoy challenges, mastered skills and small victories over difficulties. We know that behind us we have the stable hand of the family / or part of it /. But at some point things change.

A Sheetcake Named Desire | Jacklyn Brady

Thought I should read this next as my previous cozy mystery was Al Dente‘s Inferno. Play on literature- in Al Dente‘s case, more of a metaphor rather than any direct allusions to Dante‘s Inferno.

Couldn‘t sleep last night- gave up & got up at 4:30 a.m. so quiet.

lazydaizee That was an early start. 4mo

“Great idea! I need to go to the library and do some research first..” I said.

As one does…..

SheilaChew Also, found some knitting books, because it‘s summer and I have free time! 5mo

The children have spoken! With over 10,000 votes, the winner of the Washington Children's Choice Picture Book Award is Llama Destroys the World. Congratulations to Stutzman & Fox. My favorite nominee came in last place. I keep telling my students that they know, they know. #thekidsareallright #kidlit #readoutloud #WCCPBA

The Washington State library association nominated 20 books and the kids have voted. My school chose Llama destroys the world with 24 votes. A Tie for second with 23 votes each was Borrowing bunnies and Magic ramen. Now I'm waiting for the state results to learn the winner... so many great books #everbodybooks #kidlit #WCCPBA
