This is a case of how being a book fanatic saves the day. I don‘t even know where and how I got this but it is just what I needed for my dessert party with my family this evening.

It also includes the MC's birthday! My favorite part is how the author visually portrays the language they don't understand to help the reader relate to their struggle.

I finally got around to using the Le Creuset bread oven I received last year for Xmas. 😆 It really is a very pretty kitchen ornament. (It‘s actually easy to use, I don‘t know why it took me so long.)
This was funny to me because your temp is -1 °celcius and right now at my house, it's -13° C Ha! And so It may be cold outside, but I'm definitely staying indoors. I made some French Canadian meat pies for Christmas with a mix of moose🫎 , beef🐂, and porc🐖 meat. I think I'm going to spend the rest of my day reading for #CandyLandReadathon

It‘s always a bit of a question whether the fruit will actually stay put with Nigella‘s cranberry upside down cake, but this time most of it ended up in the right place! Hurray! I whipped the cake up special this afternoon to use up the last of the cranberries I got in the post-Thanksgiving sale. Only people recovering from Covid were allowed to eat some.
