willaful I cracked up at Becky hemming Rawdon's shirt long after it was too small for him... but yeah, she is truly awful. Poor Miss Briggs, so obviously being conned out of all her money.

I don't know whether to feel glad that R jr. caught on to her or sorry for him. At least he won't have any unrealistic expectations anymore. 8mo

AnnR I feel sorry for Rawdon Jr. Becky is just so cruel and seems to have zero maternal feelings. She has gone well beyond looking out for herself by ripping off Briggs. What a piece of work. It's getting difficult to find any likeable characters. 8mo
