While #AllTheUglyAndWonderfulThings was well written and engaging, it left me extremely uncomfortable, sad and disgusted. I really didn‘t know what to expect going in to the story, just that it had received a lot of praise and was considered #controversial . I have never read a book that was so compelling, but left me wishing I‘d never read it in the first place 🙈🤢😢

Rcoco Totally agree!!! Well written but my god he‘s a pedophile! Can‘t believe this book got such high ratings from people. How can you root for these two to be together. 6y

Alfrazier21 I‘m so glad someone else agrees! The more I thought about what I read, the more it bothered me. All of the good reviews surprised me as well. In no way do I see this as a love story. I see it as a grown making taking advantage of a vulnerable little girl. He‘s 100% a sex offender. 6y

CBee I read the whole thing and I admit I was riveted by the story. BUT there was this constant nagging in the back of my mind that W and K‘s relationship was just creepy and wrong! Completely agree with you. I suppose it‘s possible to read a book all the way through but still be really disgusted by it? 6y

Alfrazier21 I totally think it‘s possible. I couldn‘t put the book down while I was reading it. I had to know how it ended. I‘ve thought about the story a lot since I finished and even talked through my feelings with a friend, but I just can‘t get past the fact that their “relationship” was abuse. @CBee 6y

Jess7 Definitely @Tiffy_Reads - everyone on litsy has provided such positive feedback one. The only thing negative I've heard thus far came from the host of my book club IRL last night. But I think she didn't like it bc it was YA and besides she and I do not always agree on book choices anyway! 😜 7y

Jess7 Update: finished The Breakdown today (8/7/17). I rate it a 4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟- very suspenseful, easy read. It kept me guessing till the end. I partially guessed the ending about mid-way through but I didn't guess all of it. Highly recommend. (edited) 7y

This book. Where do I start. I got this book to see what they hype was about. I put off reading it for months because it's not a pleasant subject. But once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. Never has a title been so perfect. Read it... But keep an open mind while doing so. You WILL be uncomfortable... But push through.
