This is one of the legends novels that Disney discarded in favor of their new cannon. It tells the story of a young Han Solo trying to make his way to the navel academy and the adventures/chaos leading up. There are cults, damsels in distress, large hairy beasts, gun fights, and lots of dangerous flying; the usual for Han 🚀

📚📚📚📚 Returning to the origins of Han Solo was nice and the story overall had solid bones. The writing itself was a bit blocky/chunky but I put that to style preference of the time. In general, a quick read about our favorite scoundrel becoming a scoundrel 😁 #starwarsbuddyread

Hello everyone, I'm a few days late, sorry.
In May we had a young Han Solo in a legend that predates the Solo movie and is quite different. I think I may prefer the newer history with Quira. What did y'all think or prefer?
This month is The Hutt Gambitt which should be entertaining. Love a big narcissistic space slug.

I liked the beginning and the end. And of course I totally fell for Muuurgh😸 The book as a whole seemed a bit unfocused and of course one could tell that it was published a couple of years ago. Otherwise Bria would've been more than just the damsel in distress. But it was nice to learn so much more about Han.

BookwormAHN I'm still reading it, but I'm also enjoying learning more about a young Han. 1w

There are three stories in this book in which two are tied together. The first one we are introduced to the rebel spy Eneb Ray who foolishly thinks he can defeat the emperor. The second story, Leia is escorting Dr. Aphra to a prison on the sun and things don't go exactly Leia's way. The last story is about Obi-Wan watching a very young Luke to ensure his safety. All three stories were great and the art work was nice as well.

I've significantly reduced my Star Wars collection over the years, relying on libraries more, but I've held on to a few. #maythe4thbewithyou

RamsFan1963 I'm looking forward to From A Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi coming in September. I really enjoyed the first two volumes. 1mo
