September #BookSpin / #BookSpinBingo /#ReadYourKindle
Going to try to sprint the last week of this month to get my reading rhythm back.
I‘ve read the 12 available Booker Prize longlist books. Last one is on preorder. Now starting this.
Late to the game again....how did September 2 get here so fast?! Here's my #bookspin list for September.
Now to go check out the numbers that were pulled... ❤️📚
I keep forgetting to post reviews, so I did a #monthlywrapup in case I don't get to them. 🙃
(Also forgot to put a thumbs up on Citizen. 5 star required reading.)
It was down to the wire but I got my September #bookspinbingo list posted in time 😮💨😁! I‘m almost done with both Worst Case Scenario and One Big Happy Family so I had to push those over into the new month. Beyond that I really want to make a dent in my #botm books so I can HOPEFULLY 🤞 win the challenge and get a book sleeve by the end of the year! I also want to read The Long Walk before I see the movie adaptation. #tbr #bookspin
You guys! There are SO many books coming out next month! I can‘t handle it! Some of my all time favorite authors. Which ones are you most excited about??
@Allyneedsbooks and I got to visit the BEST little bookstore in upstate New York. It‘s a mix of new and used books with some antiques thrown in, all under the roof of the most precious old house turned perfect bookstore setting. Hardwood floors, porch to sit on, completely beautiful surroundings for book wandering. It was EVERYTHING!
This turned out ok. It‘s a lot like The Town, a later Faulkner novel narrated by Charles McCaslin and Gavin Stephens. Personally i hated The Town. This is better. A simple story, with race-relations exploration. A mixed-race man is charged with a murder he didn‘t commit. Everyone is waiting for a lynching. But it‘s Faulkner, so wordy, thick, and slow, with some deep soul searching by the well-educated always wrong Gavin.
