wanderinglynn @LauraJ You should! It‘s a growing thing in Seattle. The first year (2015), they had 42 people complete the challenge. Last year, nearly 500 did. 5y

wanderinglynn @QueenJen it‘s going to be epic. I‘ve plotted it out. Drive time alone (including ferry rides) has it at a bit over 6 hours. That doesn‘t include finding a parking space & going inside. 😂 5y

wanderinglynn @Mitch Thanks ☺️ But after mapping it out, I don‘t think I can do it. It would take nearly all day (leaving my house before 7am and not getting home until after 7pm) because traffic, 2 ferry rides, & trying to find parking (which is a pain in Seattle). It would be a lot easier if I had a buddy or two . So maybe I put this on the bucket list for next year & just stick to the 3 or 4 stores that are near me on the peninsula. 5y

Salvage the Bones | Jesmyn Ward

Spoils of the day. I'm SO happy. Checked many things off my list, and was able to find deals on specific things I've been wanting. Many of these were used, signed, or exclusive. Trial run of #SEABookstoreDay (we're going to try to do the whole thing next year) was a rousing success. Last stop of the day (#5)! Gap in posting due to a pause for dinner and extended browsing at one of our favorites. Was so excited to find a used copy of this one, and Jesmyn Ward's Salvage the Bones. Headed home to put our feet up and dive in! @RavenRenegade and I had way too much fun touring #independentbookstoreday.

This Close to Happy: A Reckoning with Depression | Daphne Merkin

Apparently blue books are the order of this #independentbookstoreday! Stop #4 led to an edition of Dracula that I do not yet own (WHAT?) and a beautiful memoir (I bought nonfiction - WHAT?). A surprise Blind Date with a Book with ARCs subbed in for the last stop. Onward! @RavenRenegade

It was signed, guys. I couldn't NOT. Independent Bookstore Day stop #3: Queen Anne Books. Missed out on Blind Date with a Book (but got delicious Cubano coffee), and the Nasty Women book was already sold out, but was able to order one with a fully signed bookplate.
