1. My quirks are that I don‘t think I have any quirks.
🤣

1. I love self checkout because I can bag my groceries the way I want. Before I would either ask them if I could bag my own groceries or rebag them after paying. I'm very particular about it, my family knows to just let me bag everything.
2. I make lists for everything.
3. I will quote tv shows/movies during conversations if something in the convo reminds me of a quote.

@dabbe

Mimi28 3) My mom and I do that also 🙂it makes most people laugh 😂 3mo
Susanita Number 1 is my husband all the time! 😃 3mo
dabbe #1: My hubby does this! 🤩
#2: I do, too, but then I hardly ever do anything with them. Is that another quirk? 🤪
#3: 😂

1. I never wear socks but give them to everyone. Literally everyone 🤣🙃
2. I prefer solitude.
3. I prefer cleaning up poop, puke, blood- literally anything over doing the dishes. However I am constantly cooking ….

#TLT

dabbe #1: I'm just the opposite. I have to wear socks because I hate the way my toes look! Hmm. That's another quirk, isn't it? 😂
#2: ditto!
#3: My husband cooks, and I STILL hate doing the dishes! (he's kind of a messy cook! 🤩)

1. I listen to alot of indie music. My friends think I‘m quirky as they don‘t usually know any of the bands I like.
2. I like to be left alone during the day. (So I can read)
3. I hate wearing socks.
***And I don‘t think I‘m quirky at all.

TheBookHippie It‘s the hippie in us the no socks. Just cannot. 3mo
CSeydel I really want to be the kind of person that loves cozy socks, but I can‘t! Bare feet all the way 🦶 3mo

dabbe You put the “hip“ in hipster! 🩶🖤🩶 3mo
AmyG @dabbe HA! 3mo
Reggie You read horror, that‘s enough to make you quirky in some circles. 🖤 3mo
AmyG @Reggie….true. 3mo
monkeygirlsmama Now that I know you're a Head I wanna know more about these indie bands! 😋 Who do you like?? 2mo
AmyG @monkeygirlsmama Want to hear an excellent “jammy” psych band???? Listen to Rose City Band, Garden Party. The guitarist, Ripley Johnson, is fabulous. I went to see them in Michigan and asked him about the album. He told me one of his main inspirations was the dead. Let me know what you think. 2mo
monkeygirlsmama @AmyG Ooh I will look them up and give them a listen now! My Jon was the real music guru of the two of us, but I don't remember him ever mentioning this one. 2mo
AmyG @monkeygirlsmama Let me know what you think! It‘s my newest most favorite album-came out last year. (edited) 2mo
monkeygirlsmama @AmyG I haven't finished it yet, but I paused to take my lunch break. That said, they're pretty good! Definitely gives me Phish and WSP vibes, with a little Simon and Garfunkel thrown in the mix. LoL 2mo
AmyG @monkeygirlsmama Interesting! Glad you are enjoying. 2mo

Book2 CH4

“Lise made a solemn face. ‘Katerina Ivanovna has sent this to you through me,‘ she said, handing him a small letter. ‘She particularly asks you to visit her, but soon, soon, and you mustn‘t disappoint her but go and see her without fail.‘”

#MatryoshkaBros

Ruthiella If that‘s Lise‘s solemn face, I‘m a little worried. 😆 I was wondering if you would attempt the bath chair as a prop. Nice work! 👍 3mo
Aimeesue @Ruthiella Thank goodness I had teeny tiny rubber bands! Getting those quarters to stick to the chair was quite a job! 😂 3mo
Aimeesue Also, the big drawback to Little People is that they don‘t have ARMS to give letters to monks!! 3mo

dabbe In all seriousness, this has GOT TO be made into a book. It's #genius!!! 🤩🤩🤩 3mo
Aimeesue @dabbe I was clearly heavily influenced by my childhood puppet storybooks. I vividly remember the Grosset & Dunlap The Little Red Hen and Jack & the Beanstalk. http://thetrashcollector.com/bookschildrens3Dbooks.html (edited) 3mo
IndoorDame You are bringing back fabulous memories of a college roommate who was a stop motion animation artist. During finals week I‘d wake in the night to see her filming scenes with puppets and sets she‘d made with mini spotlights on the floor of the dim dorm room. The best was Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. 3mo
dabbe @Aimeesue 🤩🤩🤩 3mo
Aimeesue @IndoorDame As someone who grew up watching the Rankin/Bass stop motion Rudolph, Frosty, etc., I now appreciate exactly how much work goes into it! R&G are Dead would be an excellent watch! 3mo

This was an interesting read, I appreciated all the ways the authors suggested for helping to embed creative exercises and changing ways of thinking and doing to enhance creativity in one‘s life. I did not appreciate the vast amounts of extra writing on what are perhaps an over abundance of examples. But it was a good way to learn ways to grow my creativity on my own life.
2/5 read for lots of details and examples on how to increase creativity

My final selection for #12booksof2022. This was a library #bookclub pick and despite my reservations about the book, I quite enjoyed it. My favourite chapters were the ones on Florence and the two chapters set in Vienna. My only complaint was that the chapter on Athens was much too long for my liking.

Andrew65 Excellent. Thanks for playing along. 1y
