Anyway, I never read this book but I loved the movie. (Normally I hate a movie cover on a book, but this one has Kate Winslet so she gets a pass).

We do not care that we bought the shorts we're wearing at a thrift store during Clinton's second term. Some styles are timeless.

Loving this great run of shorter non-fiction reading I'm having, let it never end!
Sartorial memoirs, as the cover suggests, manifest as one- to two-page accounts of how particular garments/wearable items relate to the person in question's life - turns out not all the items are treasured items, even if they have been kept for years, a few painful memories in the mix - the full range from meaningful to light-hearted reasoning for retention, 1/?

Ah yes, the secular cult I have to talk myself out of membership with EVERY TIME I'm in a thrift store. 🤦🏼‍♂️

1. We do not care that we had a full-blown panic attack after a doctor's appointment in the middle of the waiting room.

If you have never seen a middle-aged woman ugly-snot cry and hyperventilate in public, you were too sheltered anyway.

2. We do not care that you've cut down all the bushes and trees in your yard. We are still not wearing a bra in our own backyard to take the dog out!

When you thought you couldn‘t read another WW11 story, this detailed and intricate bio looks at the socio-political situation of the time through the lens of the privileged and connected. Despite Coco being an awful Nazi collaborator it‘s fascinating to track her artistic connections and be shown a gritty side of those that really stuck their necks out to help others. Beautifully researched book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Premise: A Los Angeles teen‘s plans for her Summer internship at a fashionable boutique are complicated when she catches feelings for her colleague and rival.

Review: This is a sweet YA novel perfect for Pride. While the romance is solid, where this really impressed me was in its unique take on body positivity and teenage male-female friendships.
