Today's #ReadJanuary selection for #dressesonthecover. It is also my selection for F in #LitsyAtoZ. It also fulfills the #debutnovel category for #ReadHarder, although I'm reading something else for that. To top it off, it's just plain beautiful. I mean really.

Pickpick

#januaryreads #dressesonthecover The Painted Girls is on my tbr. I bought it at a booksale for its beautiful cover. I've not actually watched Mindy Kaling on tv but I really enjoyed her book. I lent it to a friend and it's finally returned home 🍀

mrsthilkey I'm listening to IEHOWM right now! I read Kaling's second book last year. I love her, and The Office. 7y
Dragon Thanks @mrsthilkey I really should see if The Office is on Netflix. I'm on the lookout for her second book. 7y
syasutake It's always nice when a loaned book makes its way back home! 7y

Suzze I liked Painted Girls but I loved her first book dearly! Even got my quote on the sign when B&N picked it to recommend nationwide! 7y
Dragon Thanks @Suzze I'm going to have to add her first book to my tbr 👍 7y
Dragon Thanks @syasutake it sure is. Two returned home over the Christmas holidays 😀🎄 7y

I keep meaning to go back and reread this one so I can finish the series. Maybe this is the year! #dressesonthecover

Roselyn_Reads I have to do the same. I've had the series on my shelf for a few years and only read Matched. I'll have to re-read it in order to finish the series. 7y

I thought #dressesonthecover would be easier. This is the only book on my shelves I found! Also, I know I've read it but I really don't remember it at all. Maybe time for a reread during the #24in48 readathon. #readjanuary. @RealLifeReading

Most of Elizabeth Chadwick's books have #dressesonthecover
They are brilliant historical fiction 😀
@RealLifeReading

Born.A.Reader I was dying to get started on the Summer/Autumn/Winter ones but my library doesn't have any of them! I was so distressed... 😣😣 7y
TrishB @Born.A.Reader 😬😬 hope they get them in soon - you:re in for a treat! 7y
mom2bugnbee I have recently discovered that I love historical fiction (thank you, Phillipa Gregory)... is there an order to these books? Should I read them in publication date order or does it not matter? 7y
TrishB @mom2bugnbee There are 2 sets you need to read in order The Greatest Knight and then The Scarlet Lion. Then The Summer Queen, Winter Crown and Autumn Throne are a threesome. I would also recommend anything by Sharon K Penman, who is amazing!!! There is an order to those, let me know if you're inteterested!! 7y
mom2bugnbee @TrishB Thx! I'll give her a shot! #blameLitsy 7y
