It was beautiful this afternoon, not too humid, not too hot. I didn‘t want to go back to work after lunch. My current read.

I haven't been able to really dig into this yet, but I am so happy Glen and Marketa have reconnected to release more music. The couple songs I've heard are delightful. I have such great memories of seeing them around the release of their movie Once.

Love this one ❤️
In the late 1920s, Czechoslovakia has been newly formed and a young wealthy couple decides to have a house built. Their fate and that of the house is followed over the years to 1990. I really liked this. Great character development and enough plot to move things along nicely.
A beautiful but sad story about this couple who lost contact during the war. They will meet again but in special circumstances and you will see that encounter in the first chapter. Then, the story goes to the past to know how Lanka and Josef met and what happened to them. It is emotionally intense. Reading about Prague and Terezin made me remind my visit to those places a couple of years ago. 4⭐️
A day late, organizing some books, and I found this for #coverlove #hat

We have a fantastic novel to discuss this week. Laurent Binet's debut novel “HHhH“ has been on both our radars since its release over a decade ago and our high expectations were met and exceeded by this brilliant, thrilling, and important book. We highly recommend this book and we hope you enjoy our conversation about all things “HHhH.“
