I love Agatha Christie because I love putting together the #clues in each story to solve the mystery. I'm getting better at it too!

“[I]s or is not, that‘s the way things are. The colour of the day. The way it felt to be a child. The saltwater on your sunburnt legs. Sometimes the water is yellow, sometimes it‘s red. But what colour it may be in memory, depends on the day. I‘m not going to tell you the story the way it happened. I‘m going to tell it the way I remember it.”

Megabooks Really interesting choice of quote! I like it. I had to think about it. 👍🏻🖖🏻 1mo
LiterRohde I had to look up the episode because clues wasn‘t doing it for me. So I went with memory and how it‘s not as permanent as we think. There‘s reality and then there‘s memory. (edited) 1mo
LiterRohde The way I understand the episode (I‘m afraid I‘ve never seen it 😱) is that Data was the one who understood the full reality of the situation and in the end, told the story the way he wanted the rest of the crew to remember it, not the way it really happened. 1mo
Megabooks @LiterRohde Well, Picard ordered Data to keep the encounter with the aliens secret, but there were too many clues that showed that instead of passing quickly through a wormhole, they had a longer encounter. So they had to redo the mind/time erase. In short. 😉 1mo
LiterRohde @Megabooks Ok. So not the way he WANTED to tell it, but the way he was ORDERED to tell he. He knew the reality of the wormhole and isolationist civilization and the rest of the crew did not. They lived with a memory or story that was not reality. Anyway, I‘m overthinking things and this episode sounds quite trippy. And I need to do some work instead of trying to make sure my quote fits. It‘s all that pressure from that “words of wisdom” stuff. 🤣 1mo

#Clues, epi 4.14, well-crafted plot about missing time & incomplete information. The moral of the story is SO questionable from an anthropological POV (human 'nature' doesn't lead to a love of mystery; it's all culture & not universal), but still super fun. Another great Spiner perfomance. Why does it look like they're dancing to Thriller in the pic?

Clue is a bad roll'n'move boardgame, a great movie and good graphic novel.

Megabooks I never noticed that they looked like they were doing the thriller dance in slo-mo!! I need to start going to Worf‘s calisthenics classes! 🖖🏻 1mo
tournevis @Megabooks It really does! I found that fastforwarding on my VCR a hundred thousand years ago. 1mo

I'll be honest, I had to look-up this episode of ST:TNG online because I didn't remember it at all. I watched it last night, I don't think I've seen it before or it just didn't leave
a big impression on me. Good episode, fun mystery

Megabooks I like this episode, too. It‘s a better mystery than the book I posted about today. 🙄😂🖖🏻 1mo

This short story is called “Mrs.Popkin” and I don‘t exactly know who or what is the vampire in here, yet, but there‘s multiple POV‘s and it‘s all very compelling. This passage has a little of #letitbe and some #dontstopmenow. #BeatleMaynia #MayMovieMagic

Cinfhen Nice 👍🏻 I‘m sure there are some #clues 😉😉😉 #StarTrekSummerMay 😘😘 1mo
Eggs Well done🤗 1mo

Looking at the #Clues in another #BOTMchallenge book...I went back and listened a second time CAREFULLY to this book. There was only one clue as to who the killer was. That frustrated me. I like books that lead you along, not ones that come up with wacky endings.

I could say the same about Before the Fall as well. Just a bunch of silly red herrings! Sigh.

Gimme some #Clues! #StarTrekSummerMay

Jinster This a thousand times! There is no point to a story if it doesn't provide information. 1mo
emilyhaldi Yeah, this book didn‘t do it for me. Especially after all the hype! 1mo
Megabooks @Jinster Yaaasss! Agree!! 1mo

Megabooks @emilyhaldi The blurb from King on the front. Seriously?!? 1mo
Reviewsbylola That‘s so interesting. I remember being blown away by the ending of this one but I completely agree with you. With a good thriller, I would expect to be able to go back and connect the dots on a reread. 1mo
Megabooks @Reviewsbylola The only clue was Coop‘s ring being in a picture in the first final girl‘s house. The sorority girl. That‘s it. Smh. 1mo

#MayMovieMagic #Day6 #DontStopMeNow #StarTrekSummerMay #Clues Don‘t stop me now, my year of reading so far hasn‘t been my most prolific, but it‘s certainly been my most eclectic I think. I don‘t think there‘s many clues to my personality in these 45 books, they‘re much too varied for that. Lots of graphic novels so far, plus more non fiction than I usually read & the most SciFi I‘ve read in a few years. What‘s your #2019InBooks like so far?

Cinfhen LOVE this post!!!!! #RebelReader #SlayEm 🙌🏻 1mo
Cinfhen I‘ve listened to more audio then ever before and I‘ve read a TON of NF!!!! I don‘t really keep stats but I try to write down every book I read. Need to see where I‘m at. Im totally behind on my GoodReads reviews 🤪 1mo
Megabooks I‘m reading even more nonfiction this year, too! Fewer audiobooks, mainly because I‘m having trouble getting time alone to listen! Great post! 1mo

Kalalalatja I‘m audiobooking and lending books from the library like never before! Also, I‘m keeping up a trend from the last few years, with reading a lot newer books than backlist 📚📚 1mo
rohit-sawant Terrific post! 👏🏼👏🏼 1mo
xxjenadanxx So awesome!! So far I‘ve read 100 books + 1 Graphic Novel. Mixed genre, lots of historic fiction this year and I‘m trying to read more Nonfiction as well. 1mo
