The peace of Misty‘s lodge in the Blue Ridge Mountains is disturbed first by a women‘s motorcycle club, then by murder! What‘s a lodge owner to do but investigate herself?

This was a cute, cozy fall read. Loved the setting, & the characters of the motorcycle club were fun, although I don‘t think the author likes millennials very much. 😂 Lots of red herrings, and a secondary mystery. But very tell, & overly descriptive of actions. 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑

With too many towns cancelling on them before winter, The Blackstone Family Circus is left with one option. Head to The Clearing, a remote Oregon settlement rumored to pay well for entertainment, but also many mysterious disappearances.

Setting was fabulous, characters were amazing, & appropriately creepy for Halloween. Narrator was A+! But pacing felt weird, & I‘m disappointed by the inclusion of an element I‘ll mention under a CW. 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑

Specific warnings for chapter 12, the story of the w*ndigo and then references throughout, chapter 22 animal death, chapter 25 off page child death (The use of the w*ndigo with no other indigenous presence on the page makes me feel very uncomfortable.) Time to start posting these books. It's gonna be a chore 🤣

I started the month by finishing off the Grant County series. I didn't enjoy this as much as I had hoped but it was still enjoyable. I think the series just exhausted me after a full binge. I will be interested to see how this fits will Will Trent but I think I need a little break from these guys. They wear me out 🤣

A book combining advice for novel writing and pie recipes? I was hooked immediately!

Wallet is so humorous! It feels like you‘re sitting down with a friend and talking about her experiences. I loved the watercolor illustrations within the book.

I also really appreciated that she‘s quite clear on that there‘s no magic recipe for a published novel beyond putting the work in. And she covers from ideas all the way to signing contracts! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

What‘s a Spider-Man to do when he has to find a superhero-family balance, rescue a friend‘s missing father, deal with the worry of his family in Puerto Rico affected by earthquakes, & try to overcome artist‘s block? Suit up, of course.

This was absolutely delightful! The art was gorgeous and bright. Miles was so charming and relatable, & I liked how he learns to ask for & accept help. And the cameos! The nibling gives it 2 thumbs up. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗

Princess Alyrra is dreading her arranged marriage to a far away prince. When a sorceress switches Alyrra and her companion‘s bodies, Alyrra is ready to start a new life as a goose girl. Her plans are disrupted when she has to decide if saving the prince is worth her new life.

This was a fun twist on the Goose Girl! Lovely world building, great 2ndary cast, & a romance I can get behind. But Alyrra is inconsistent & a bit passive for me. 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑

Alex Price is just your regular reptile specialist, working with cryptids, basilisks, and gorgons. Things start to get dicey when something starts petrifying people at the zoo he works at.

Delightful! A little info dump heavy, but that made sense for the character! Alex was funny and charming. Loved the expansion of the world, and more of the Price family! Was a little disappointed with the end reveal, but that‘s a minor nitpick. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
