This month I peered through the veil to witness the darkness lurking beneath our reality, journeyed through space to create a revolution, learned magic to take down a corrupt government, lived the many lives of a kalachakra, witnessed the beginnings of an apocalypse, and witnessed a savage battle.

Completed in August: The Final Empire, The Fisherman, Golden Son, and The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August

My favorites this month were Pull of the Stars, Space Between Worlds, and Book of Lost Names. Read Midnight Sun for nostalgia‘s sake and a collection of Mary Oliver‘s poetry to keep up with my goal of reading at least one non-fiction book a month. #August2020 #monthlywrapup

Pickpick

My #augustreads for 2020! Home Before Dark was my favorite this month and Arsenic and Austen was my least favorite. I really wanted to like Arsenic and Austen, but the author must have a clear dislike of overweight people because all of the main characters had very clear prejudices against them. It just really put me off and I didn't enjoy the book much afterwards. #2020reads #august2020 #summerreads #myreads #monthlywrapup #bookreview
