This was interesting and original. It took me awhile to start caring about the story, but all is well when it ends well. #V for #AtoZLitsy

This is a five star masterpiece! With so many important themes and metaphors, all beautifully written by a remarkable writer indeed. I can't recommend it enough. Also #U for #AtoZLitsy

This was beautifully written. The pacing is slower, more like epic fantasy, though it's YA and romance too. #Q for #AtoZLitsy

Three stars, not so bad but not so original either. I'm still in doubt if I'll go on reading this series, not many hooks left to keep me interested enough. Also #F for #AtoZLitsy

I enjoyed this book and am so thankful for Litsy for putting Boyne on my radar. Each chapter delved more into the characterization and I can't wait till my next book from Boyne.

This was unfortunately another over hyped book I stopped reading at around 200 pages because I didn't care enough to finish. It has interesting ideas but this isn't enough to make you eager to finish.

This is quite boring up to 2/3 of the over hyped book. Not much of a plot, both superficial POVs run from one place to another, the answers delayed ad infinitum so that you read on. A pity because the premise hinted at so much more.
The last third of the book was better, perhaps the book would be better if Rhee's POV had been more developed. Her POV was driving the plot, while Aly's felt like repetitive filler. #E for #AtoZLitsy

I expected this to be a 5 star read, but it was a bit of a let down. The last 100 pages were perfect, but it took awhile to get there and I think the author could have woven a more cohesive story in the beginning. The Hemingways, the Fitzgeralds, and the Murphys are entertaining to read about but their antics grew old and it wasn‘t until tragedy hit that their self reflection kicked into gear. This is a very tentative pick for me.

LeslieO I just picked this up an hour ago! I want to read for V in my #atozlitsy challenge. I did not get right into it. Maybe I'll skim till the end. I loved 11mo
Reviewsbylola I do want to read that! This has me wanting to reread Tender is the Night too. I‘ll be curious to see what you think of this @LeslieO I can‘t tell if I just wasn‘t in the mood for it or if something was off. 11mo
