5. I used to spend my summers in Montreal. My parents would send me to stay with family there and I loved it! I should really go back one of these days.

It's a hot one here in Northern California. I had to stay inside and do housework until shade got to the porch. BUT I got together all the bits for my #SummerSantaGoesPostal package and it'll be at the post office tomorrow. Now only a full month to wait to open all our goodies together!

pickFantastic YA Contemporary about a deaf DJ in Mexico, written by an author who knows exactly what he's talking about.
I loved the voice in this book. It's over-the-top, but in a fun way that makes you want to lose yourself in the story and the culture and just have fun. There's some great tension in there, too, and everything wraps up... well, I won't tell you.
Suffice to say, I loved it.
