Well, I can still read a book in a day thank god! A brilliant book, I thoroughly enjoyed it just as much as the 1st in the series. I‘ve been addicted to her writing for 25yrs now, from before her 1st Rizzoli & Isles book & she‘s one of the few writers who can still put out well written work decades later. I love the premise, a small Maine town with a circle of ex spooks who use their old skills to solve crime. Highly recommend. #SeriesLove2025

Sitting in my library for the first time in ages & enjoying the early Spring almost Summer temperatures! The afternoon sun is lovely & my sun catcher is throwing rainbows everywhere so it‘s a perfect day to start the 2nd in Gerritsens The Martini Club series. Summer in Purity & Maggie Birds “book group” is caught up in the disappearance of a teenager at the lake after one of them is implicated in the crime. #SeriesLove2025

I don‘t think I‘ve read this author before but the premise was great! I love the idea of former CIA agents now serving as cozy detectives. The other characters were kind of meh but I enjoyed the connection between a crime in the past and a current mystery unfolding as the story progresses. This is the second book in a series but can definitely be read alone. I‘ll definitely read more by this author! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A teenager from a wealthy family summering on a nearby lake is missing.The Martini Club, ex-CIA agents,decide to investigate when a close farmer friend & neighbor of Maggie‘s is picked up for questioning.Meanwhile,an old corpse is discovered in the lake.Are these mysteries related? While investigating,the MC uncover buried secrets & all starts to unravel.

Enjoyed this one. I liked the Maine setting and the Martini Club members, and the mystery had enough twists & turns to keep me guessing. Bonus Lee Child/ Tess Gerritsen short story in the back of the book, for Reacher fans.

I'm about 1/3 done with this, and really enjoying it so far. I like the Maine in summer setting; reminds me of some great vacations in the past. Enjoying the characters in the Martini Club!

My Friday night delight. #MidSummerSolace. #Naturalitsy While cooking a dinner of beef charred pepper tacos,I listened to tagged book.Add chips & salsa, Mexican beer-yum! After dinner my couch calls me- reading pictured book with my cats. I also may watch the Yankee game at some point.⚾️

The Martini Club is once again helping the police chief of their tiny Maine town solve a crime, a crime that reaches back decades, and reveals answers to other mysteries. But this case also has them questioning whether their age is starting to hinder their abilities. Physical abilities, yes. Mental abilities? Kidnapping, drowning, murder, intrigue, family, betrayal. You will fly through this book. I love the characters in this series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I ended up quite liking this even though we have a bit less of our main characters than in The Spy Coast. The Summer Guests is a smaller tale in terms of scope , but it‘s well-told and keeps you wondering if you‘re right about the solution. #audiowalk

So far I‘m enjoying this book, but I liked The Spy Coast better. We‘ll see how it ends up. I‘ve got about 3 hours left. #audiowalk
