Hubby brought back a thoughtful gift from Beacon Hill Books. 😍🥰 He also told me about the floor to ceiling Persephone collection. I guessed it was Persephone bc he described them as “you know those grey cover books you like”……

He managed to finally find himself a copy of Notes from the Underground. I bet we looked in a dozen bookshops this summer. It‘s one of those books you see all the time until you want it.

ncsufoxes When we lived in Boston I made it to a few independent bookstores. I never made it to Beacon Hill because I hated driving in that area (downtown Boston in general). Plus we were only there for 2 years & didn‘t get to visit everywhere I wanted. Very cute tote! 2mo

Have I spent half the day doing a bookshop crawl around Boston - yes I have ! Finished here and loved the shelf of Persephone titles. It was lovely to see each of the 4 shops I went to so full .. people reading, sharing titles and in all sharing their love of books with in well stocked children‘s sections. It was good for the soul (if not for my legs which are feeling every one of my 18,000 steps

Itchyfeetreader @JenReadsAlot I really enjoyed Trident which was a really buzzy cafe with great fiction esp hardback choices and lots of recommendations. But I also really liked Porterhouse square at the seaport - they share their space with a performance space, cafe and creative writing classes and I am told have a cool book club. 7mo
