First day back at work after two weeks off 😟 But one of my co-workers gave me a really nice birthday present 😊
pickI enjoyed this more than I thought I would as historicals aren‘t really my jam. I really liked that since this was written after the show it was not whitewashed, but full of color - and also that it was a sign of changing of the times.
Next up: Reading at/in the pool as long as the weather allows.

Just got my library copy of the book in so thoughts pending but have some general overview thoughts on the show over on YouTube which is only like 25% a defense of the traditional happily ever after (only in that some reviews were using coded derogatory language toward the HEA as if to argue the Queen Charlotte exploration is inherently better for not being the traditional HEA & why not both.)
