2️⃣ Hmm… I think it is The Mysteries of Udolpho on Serial Reader & Les Miserables (Serial Reader & a big Barnes & Noble edition.) I started them years ago & swear that I will actually finish both some day!

The first two books I read this year have been genres I don‘t usually read — horror and contemporary romance. Yet, I rated both of them five stars.

pickI loved this book. I could not put it down. I enjoyed the story line and it was just such a feel good type of novel. And the ending was just perfect. I loved it
pickFirst book finished for 2023 & it was a sweet one. On her 30th birthday Blythe gets a job, a proposal & an inheritance from her late beloved grandmother, Nomi, who died when she was a child. To get the inheritance she must take part in a treasure hunt to find the place Nomi wants her ashes spread on a small island in the San Juan‘s. I enjoyed the story & the 2 gifts wrapped gifts that were part of the Once Upon a Book Club “Up All Night” box.⬇️
Still a couple hours to go to 2023. My reading for tonight & probably tomorrow too as I started it a little late to finish. I treated myself to the “Up All Night” box from Once Upon a Book Club. It has 2 gifts to open on designated pages as well as the 2023 book challenge scratch-off poster, “The world belongs to those who read” champagne glass, confetti popper (it came popped in the box😆) & book club packet.
