Listened to the audio version of this. I like Jo Nesbo and know his books have darker tones and flawed heroes but this one was not engaging at all. It just dragged on and on. The characters felt very one dimensional and the *surprise* ending wasn't much of a surprise. I finished it mainly because I was waiting for holds on other audiobooks. The narrator was good even though the story didn't do it for me.

Jo Nesbo's imagination is terrifying. Love everything he writes. But, scared to death to ever visit Norway. 😨

I will finish this book TODAY.

Came home early today because of a horrible migraine. Finally feel better so time for a bath and a book.

I could read for 30 more minutes and then watch the debate or I could just keep reading. Yep, life is too short to watch two grown men argue.

I'm surprised by how many women I read in August! Excited for my September TBR, I have some great stuff calling my name :)

THIS BOOK! If you like crime fiction and police procedurals, you must read this book. Intricate storytelling and a total thrill ride. Also, the last few lines are ??? Can't wait to read more Nesbø!
