When it comes to the dystopian plot, I've seen it all before. But I was sucked into this book right from the start. It was just such a fun read! It kind of proves you don't have to be the most original to write a good story. Even though it might not be all new, there were loveable characters, an action-packed plot, and good world building - although I would have liked a little more explanation at the start of the book.

LibrarianRyan @LeslieO I only order during a sale, and never more than $100. One order not one book. I don't think I could keep it to one book. 😋 7y
LeslieO @LibrarianRyan I always put books in a cart then think NO I haven't read the last haul! Then go back and order a few days later! 7y
LibrarianRyan @LeslieO if all my money wasn't wrapped up in the new house I would be that way to. 🤓 7y

Now that A Conjuring of Light & Our Dark Duet are both on my possession, the sequel to this beauty is probably my most anticipated new release of the rest of the year ?

anniekslibrary I still have to read this one🙊 I take it you enjoyed it then? 7y
jrosewordsmith @anniekslibrary OMG yes! One of my fave reads of the year. It's so fast-paced, the world-building is 👌 (I mean, it's got the corrupt unequal society stuff you'd expect from a dystopian but also the whole damn world and everything in it is DEADLY - and probably out to get you) and Orion is firmly into my top 3 fictional girl crushes (behind Lila Bard!) The end let it down a little or it would've been a solid 5⭐ 7y
anniekslibrary @jrosewordsmith That sounds really good! I'll try to read it soon😊 7y

I really enjoyed this. It was hard to get into but I also had a super stressful week so that could of been why. But I really enjoyed, I'm excited for book 2! (And since she's from Des Moines that means we will actually have signings here when it comes out! Yay!) 💖

Very excited to receive Flashfall by Jenny Moyer today. It's described as a YA Red Rising so can't wait to start reading although apparently it's a duology so wondering if I should wait 🤔🤔

LazyLibrary You don't have to wait. It wraps up nicely, like a stand alone!! I enjoyed this book! It wasn't perfect, a little rushed. But it grabbed me and I'm looking forward to more of the authors work! 7y
Ali-Reads Good to know @LazyLibrary I doubt I could have resisted reading anyway 😁 7y
[DELETED] 853593837 I just finished it too. It wraps up but still leaves you with enough curiosity for the next book but in a way that the next 10 months won't be complete torture ☺ 7y

What a wonderful debut novel! I loved this sci-fi/fantasy-ish dystopian novel! Jenny has created an awesomely freaky but super cool world and I loved all the characters! Especially Orion and Dram (swoons)! I'm really hoping this isn't a stand alone I need more!!!!

NautiGirlReads Orion and Dram are my new favorite couple, I mean OMG the feels from them 8y
