4 posts | 1 read | 1 to read
An unexpected encounter... An extraordinary discovery... Welcome back to the town of Evergreen. Katie, an author struggling to write her second novel, heads to Evergreen, Vermont for a holiday retreatonly to get an assignment to write an article about the town. On the train, she meets Ben, a former big-city reporter whos now a librarian in Evergreen. Katies initially skeptical about Evergreens love of Christmas; the place seems too good to be true. Meanwhile, Bens wary of Katies intentions. Hes protective of his small town, and he knows all too well how cynical the media can be. Then a hunt for a fifty-year-old time capsule leads to a remarkable discovery. As Katie and Ben get caught up in the communitys past and present, they both begin to envision new possibilities for the future. This feel-good Christmas romance includes a free Hallmark original recipe for Cranberry Crostini.

My last prompt to be filled in this board was Carol Singing, which is now checked off thanks to Christmas in Evergreen! ❄️ #MerryReaders

It‘s time to restart all of these board next week! 🌟

OriginalCyn620 You can do the bingo boards more than once?! 😃 3y
Clwojick @OriginalCyn620 yes! Most of the activities are repeatable! Same with the selfie hunt and the ornament hunt. For example, if you have multiple character ornaments you can check off that prompt more than once! 👌🏻 3y
OriginalCyn620 Thank you @Clwojick! I didn‘t know that and it‘s funny that you used character ornaments as an example because I have a crap load of those. More points coming up! 😂 3y

Mehso-so

I enjoyed the original CiE story much more than this one. The small Christmas town setting is still just as charming as ever, but setting alone can't carry a story. The story was very blah, and adding in a bunch of side plots didn't help. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either.
Nearly finished with my Emma and Pietro #audiostitching project.

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick The needlepoint is coming along wonderfully. Sorry the book was a meh. I listened to the first one a few days ago and even that one was just OK. 3y

If I ever write a book, I'm gonna kill off a character this way. Didn't realize they were holding their breath til they suffocated and died... 😏
