Nelson ignores this, even when the owner's suicide note includes the line, 'He's buried in the garden.' Ruth excavates and finds the body of a giant dog. All roads lead back to this farm in the middle of nowhere, but the place spells serious danger for anyone who goes near. Ruth doesn't scare easily. Not until she finds herself at Black Dog Farm ...

Now reading The Heiress until I fall asleep. Work tomorrow.

Another book I read on vacation, maybe the best Ruth Galloway mystery yet. This really kept me guessing, plus an unexpected twist at the end makes me really anxious for the next installment. Picture is a red tail hawk at WNC Nature Center, which we visited on our trip.

This is the latest installment from Dr Ruth Galloway Mystery. The Night Hawks are a group of metal detectorists searching for buried treasure. But they find a body instead. There is also a murder-suicide at a farm called Black Dog Farm. Ruth is called in two both scenes to excavate. Are the two crimes connected? As I may have mentioned I love this series. The ever continuing relationship between Ruth and Nelson, what will happen with them!

I was glad to see Ruth & Kate return to Norfolk. changes in Nelson's police department too. I can't wait to read the next book in the series as this book left off as Nelson seems ready to make a decision about his and Ruth's relationship. recommend this series as it is character driven & so interesting. A bit of history mixed with your mystery. NetGalley & Quercus Publishers

My Goals
1. Read 25 books a month:
Finished The Lost Apothecary
Listened to The Chestnut Man while riding exercise bike.
Started reading The Night Hawks by Elly Griffiths.

2. Ride stationary bike for 1 hour a day.
Day 1 - Rode for 1/2 hour - will build up to 1 hour.

3. Moved 1 bookcase of books to another room because my library is going to be painted soon.
