panI really miss old school Dean Koontz back in the era of Watchers, Twilight Eyes, Strangers, Fear Nothing. I guess those would be from the 80s-90s. His stuff from the last 15 years I do not enjoy. This book was boring, with an interesting idea at the core, but one that took almost the entire book to get to the point, and little of the plot leading up to it ended up feeling revelatory. The story dragged, clues were too vague to work. Disappointing.
