I‘m bailing on my last book for #ReadingAfrica22 - it was for #Zanzibar which is modern day #Tanzinia so not needed for my map 🙄Anyway….I really enjoyed my reading through Africa, so MANY GREAT BOOKS💟Thanks to @Librarybelle & @BarbaraBB for hosting this wonderful challenge ❣️looking forward to #ReadingAmericas2023.

I‘m really enjoying this challenge 🥰
My favorites were Circling The Sun( Kenya), His Only Wife (Ghana),Girl With Louding Voice (Nigeria), Crocodile Eats The Sun (Zimbabwe), Between Two Kingdoms (Tunisia) but many more were very good too.

Here‘s my January wrap up for #ReadingAfrica2022! I got a strong start on Asia last January, which really helped my with the challenge, so I decided to do the same this year and have read nine countries so far! 🥳 They are: Algeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zanzibar.

Hooked_on_books @tenar I would say Algeria. The book is set mostly in France, focusing on a group of French Algerians, and flashes back to Algeria itself. It‘s a side of colonialism we don‘t always think about and I found it really interesting. Plus, the whodunnit part was really satisfying.

NaomiO That‘s amazing. What book did you read about Morocco? Was it fiction or non-fiction? I‘ve been trying to find a fiction book that takes place in Morocco. 2y

Hooked_on_books @NaomiO I read In the Country of Others by Leila Slimani. It wasn‘t bad, but I didn‘t love it. I have a couple others on my TBR, so I don‘t know how they are: Tangerine by Christine Mangan and The Diver‘s Clothes Lie Empty by Vendela Vida, so you could try one of those. I hope you find one you enjoy! 2y
