Witch's Canyon
Witch's Canyon | Jeff Mariotte
5 posts | 13 read | 7 to read
Sam & Dean have set out on a raod trip to the Grand Canyon but this is no vacation for the brothers. Mysterious murder sprees have happened in the area and the Winchester boys are there to protect the locals from the deadly horde of animal spirits and human ghosts which are terrorising this corner of the Arizona desert.

This was a really good tie-in. It's the second in the series, so it takes place fairly early on in the timeline, which means Sam and Dean are still working out their dynamic. But it read like a fun and ghosty episode. 👻

StayCurious I just started watching the show and I am loving it! 4y
Traci1 @StayCurious oh, it's one of my favorites. Once you finish the series, you'll want to read the books too. 😊 4y

"For some reason, you just look more like a Dean to me."

Maybe because he is a Dean in Gilmore Girls. ?

AkashaVampie How is the book? I have been meaning to read it. 4y
Traci1 @AkashaVampie it's really good. I'm a little over 3/4 done, and I think it's one of the better ones of the series. 4y
AkashaVampie @Traci1 does it read like the show? 4y

Traci1 @AkashaVampie yeah, it does. The characterization of Sam and Dean is better than some of the other books. I can actually hear their voices with the dialog. 4y
AkashaVampie @Traci1 that is awesome. I am definitely going to have to get my hands on those books. 4y
Traci1 @AkashaVampie i think one of the good things about these is that if you've watched all (or most) of the show, you don't have to read them in order because there won't be any spoilers. My favorite of all of them is probably Fresh Meat, with this one, Bone Key, and Joyride close behind. The only one I really didn't care for was Coyote's Kiss. 4y
AkashaVampie @Traci1 good to know. Thanks sweetie. I still need to get caught up on the show. I have a couple seasons I think. 4y

Old school rock. Old school Supernatural. Baby Sam, baby Dean and most definitely the most important baby of all... the car.

This might be more dangerous to say than any of the activities I‘ve done thus far, but... I haven‘t fallen off of any cliffs yet OR perished from necrosis via spider bite! #SlayinIt

AmyG Yikes! Though quite beautiful. (edited) 6y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk Did you watch Parks and Recreation? ‘Member Andy? “Where‘s all the faces of the presidents?” 6y
monalyisha @TobeyTheScavengerMonk Ha! The Parks & Rec reference that keeps popping into *my* head is Mouse Rat‘s song about “The Pit.” 😂 6y

More than halfway done with this one. Enjoyable. Also helps that I've seen all the Supernatural episodes to date, even if this book is set close to after the second season of the show

Texreader My daughter and I are big fans but only through most of season 6. We were late to the game. 7y
HollyMcMiller It's worth going through it. Season 7 may get a little bumpy in places, but work your way through it. It gets better 7y
