(Not the tagged book, can't find this listed)
This is a short story collection based on the manga and anime series Demon Slayer and I absolutely adored it! I love these characters so much. A definite pick for me, as it explored the relationships between the characters.

I had a long day at work so decided to relax with this little read. Loved the world building and characters. Totally understand why this series is so popular! Quick read.

I read this because my teenage daughter is reading the series and I just wanted to be sure it is ok for her. This is a clean series (no sex, no skimpy clothes or overt sexuality). There is some violence, hence the title. Honestly, I‘ll read the second one because it‘s pretty good!!

I dropped the ball on reviewing each manga, so I decided to just wait until the end. You know those stories that make you cry for all the right reasons? This. If I ever had the luck to meet Gotouge I would wish to convey how much this series meant to me. It was my first manga series I read all the way through, but it was a lovely escape from this world (while reminding me that humans can be beautiful and life is worth it). Thank you! #manga

First off I am going to add this to the pkg w/ Fairy Tale and will go to Hyvee tonight and mail off.
This book just didn't quite hold up like I thought it would. I felt like it was more vampireish that demonish. I also feel like I need to read on to know the rest of the story, and just don't have that desire to.
I am glad I stepped out of my normal comfort zone with this.

LibrarianRyan Trust me reading the second wouldn‘t have helped. I‘ve read it and have book 3 and 4 but I can‘t get myself to read them. 3y
cwarnier Shipped off! 3 days sorry for the delay. @littlewolf1 (edited) 3y

A few weeks ago I watched the anime and I loved it. I decided that I needed to know more and couldn‘t wait for the movie so.... I started a new problem. #bookjournal #manga

4 ⭐
This book was highly interesting. Much of it seems like US vampire lore until you get to the end of book 1 which leaves the reader hanging and wishing for book 2. I thought this book while bloody and a bit violent was a great read. I know there is a matching anime but I think I want to finish reading the books before I watch the series.

#LMPBC #Round11

Hi Group F (aka the Manga Group)! Demon Slayer is packed up and ready to ship Monday to Ryan. A little early, but with the mail lately that might be a good thing.

I enjoyed it. Think I'm going to need to track down volume 2 soon... 😊 @Littlewolf1 @cwarnier @LibrarianRyan

I've been watching the anime with a friend, and now she's lending me the manga up to where we've watched. It's a really cool style and while the anime seems to add a bit of characterisation, I think I enjoy both equally.

I got really into the anime and thought why not try to read the Manga. Im glad I decided to read it because it's absolutely amazing so far

Twainy My 11 year old nephew loves this manga. Book 11 has been sold out for MONTHS it‘s finally on its way from B&N so I can finish sending him the rest. 😁 I bought him all of the One Piece manga, that series is never ending!! 😆 Enjoy!! 3y
mnjacques @Twainy is one piece good? 3y
Twainy If you asked an 11 yr old boy who has all of the 3 book omnibuses & spin offs he‘d say yes. I know a few IT guys who also really like it. Who doesn‘t love Luffy! Sadly I‘m the wrong one to ask as I prefer anime & my manga tends to be a bit on the darker side ... like Tokyo Ghoul or Junji Ito. The little hardcover Full Metal Alchemists are nice. 3y

Just signed up for #LMPBC Round 11 #Group F. I'm excited for some manga! 🤓📚 Here are the three books I'm leaning towards. Fun stuff!

Hello group! Any preferences with these? @LibrarianRyan @Littlewolf1 @cwarnier

LibrarianRyan Oh oh oh!! Tokyo Ghoul. They are getting ready for a rerelease. Plus yet another spin off. My galley expired before I could get to it. Plus, isn‘t the original series done? Great choice. But also demon Slayer. Ummm. Great choices. 3y
Littlewolf1 So my first choice would be demon slayer only because I own most of Tokyo Ghoul, it‘s my favorite. With that being said, because it is my favorite I would totally read it with you guys too. 3y
Karisa @LibrarianRyan My son thinks the first two series of Tokyo Ghoul are done. He said I'd need to read the first to really understand the second series. Demon Slayer is a favorite at the middle school i teach at. Students paint book covers on ceiling tiles and that one is right above my desk. Probably should read it sometime 😅 3y

Karisa @Littlewolf1 Hurray! They both do sound good. Maybe Demon Slayer then so new for you too. Although you might be able to give great insights on the Tokyo Ghoul.... 💗 3y
Littlewolf1 I good with either choice 3y
LibrarianRyan I‘m down with demon slay but let‘s let Christina jump in. I think your son is correct. I think either a 3rd or a 4th spin off is in the works because I‘ve seen the galley. Plus it‘s an anime. 3y
cwarnier I am game for any of them. 3y
Karisa @cwarnier @Littlewolf1 @LibrarianRyan All set then for my pick! Going with Demon Slayer, vol. 1. 🥳 3y

I enjoyed this! Wasn't sure going in but the training with the boulder is when I realized that I didn't want to stop reading. I want the next volume now. #readathon Hour 15 @DeweysReadathon

phantomx Wait until you get further into the series. It gets really good, and the background stories on certain characters is interesting. 3y

I got recommended to read this by a friend. As a person who has read a lot of shonen manga, this one is pretty interesting. The storyline progresses pretty fast. Tanjiro reminds me of a lighter version of Hyakkimaru. The story contains simliar humorous elements as Yu Yu Hakusho, and it can be action packed as Blue Exorcist. #manga

Demon Slayer, vol 1 (vol 2-8, via MangaRock)

Tanjiro‘s family was killed by demons, leaving behind a surviving sister who‘s become a demon but without their malicious intents. Tanjiro decides to train as a demon hunter while on the search to finding a way to make his sister human again. He‘s also a gentle soul who changes the lives of others during his journey 😊

And I love it! This is seriously becoming a favorite for me 👍
