BONUS: This edition contains an excerpt from Steve Berrys The King's Deception and a Cotton Malone dossier. The ancient order of the Knights Templar possessed untold wealth and absolute power over kings and popes . . . until the Inquisition, when they were wiped from the face of the earth, their hidden riches lost. But now two forces vying for the treasure have learned that it is not at all what they thought it wasand its true nature could change the modern world. Cotton Malone, one-time top operative for the U.S. Justice Department, is enjoying his quiet new life as an antiquarian book dealer in Copenhagen when an unexpected call to action reawakens his hair-trigger instinctsand plunges him back into the cloak-and-dagger world he thought hed left behind. It begins with a violent robbery attempt on Cottons former supervisor, Stephanie Nelle, who s far from home on a mission that has nothing to do with national security. Armed with vital clues to a series of centuries-old puzzles scattered across Europe, she means to crack a mystery that has tantalized scholars and fortune-hunters through the ages by finding the legendary cache of wealth and forbidden knowledge thought to have been lost forever when the order of the Knights Templar was exterminated in the fourteenth century. But shes not alone. Competing for the historic prize and desperate for the crucial information Stephanie possessesis Raymond de Roquefort, a shadowy zealot with an army of assassins at his command. Welcome or not, Cotton seeks to even the odds in the perilous race. My favorite author, James Rollins, recommended Steve Berry so I had to stop at HPB on the way home and found book 1 in the Cotton Malone series. Whoohoo! I started an ebook sample last night and it‘s so good.

FlowerFairy This is a very good series. Happy reading! (And James Rollins is amazing!) 2w

#adventrecommends Day 3: I actually read the seventh book in this series first. I picked it up at the library book sale and couldn‘t put it down. After reading it, I realized there was a whole series to read and have been reading through the series as quickly as I can get my hands in the books.

Andrew65 I love this series and loved this book from the moment I picked it up. Finished the first 10 so far. However I do think my overall favourite so far is 12mo

Very good in the genre of historical fiction. Very similar to dan brown type novel. Short chapters that move quickly. High paced action with a good set of characters. Based around religious subject matter with a good twist. If you like dan brown type novels and jonesing for a new series then you‘ve found it.

Great book, great narrator! Berry's footnotes at the end really do make you realize sometimes truth really is stranger than fiction... the spin on how Christianity came to be was brilliant, especially how he tied it all in with actual documented historical facts.. Illuminating and fascinating!

Marine, Jeff D.: "‘Templar Legacy‘ was the best of the lot. With the essence of a Dan Brown novel, this adventure kept you guessing from start to finish & always one step ahead of the reader. It follows retired American Operative Cotton Malone on an unexpected quest to uncover the Templar secret while fighting the men who swore to protect it, as well as those who are looking to expose it. It was a 'can‘t put it down' type of read." #BestBookRead
