Hello, #FictionalTraveler (s)! It‘s November and we‘re heading to #Asia ! What will everyone be reading?

Also - I‘m trying to decide whether to continue #FictionalTraveler for another year. Please comment below to let me know your thoughts. 🤔🤓🙂

This month, I‘ll be reading The Travelling Cat Chronicles.

thebacklistbook Of Jade and Dragons by Amber Chen will fit nicely.

as far as continuing, do what works for you best.

Read4life I‘ve enjoyed this challenge. I‘ve noticed I‘ve been choosing books to fit all of the challenges I‘m involved with instead of reading more spontaneously. I‘ll be cutting back in 2026 but haven‘t decided which challenges/Buddy reads I‘m going to stay with. #ReadOrDonate works well with #Roll100 so if they continue I‘ll participate in them. 17h
Enchanted_Bibliophile I really enjoyed this challenge, but if my further studies are approved for next year I'll be cutting way down on all my reading. 8h

TheAromaofBooks I've been using this challenge to pull a book from my shelves, but I haven't been super consistent in reading them!!! So I've enjoyed it, but between this, Read or Donate, and Monthly Nonfiction, this is the one I've been the least consistent with reading 😂 4h
Lauredhel Asia... I might go looking for a manga! 3h
Lauredhel I've enjoyed this and the nonfiction challenge as a nudge to look outside my default reading, but you do you, whatever works 3h

Another 5 books added to #readingasia2021 in March, making 17 in total. I still seem to be reading all of the tiny countries so I‘m sure the map doesn‘t look any different to last month! 🤣

I have 9 #readingasia2021 books on my April #bookspinbingo board so hopefully get some more ticked off this month.

All of the books I read in March are tagged below.

KarenUK Yay! 17 sounds like brilliant progress in 3 months..... I‘d find this challenge pretty intimidating! 5y
rockpools It looks wonderfully colourful! Any faves from this month? 5y
Librarybelle Woohoo! Excellent progress! 5y
squirrelbrain @rockpools - hmm 🤔 I liked them all this month, but wouldn‘t say there was a ‘standout‘ favourite. 5y
squirrelbrain @KarenUK it‘s certainly tougher than the States or Europe challenges! 5y
BarbaraBB It does look extremely impressive!! 5y

Making my plans for #readingasia2021. Book title in pen I‘ve already read. In pencil (if you can make it out) means I‘m either counting a book more than once or I have the book already in my library. So now it‘s time to fill in some holes. Taking recommendations! 😁 @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB

BarbaraBB If you want my recommendations, I do a monthly wrap up of the books I read for this challenge here: 5y

7 books read in January for #readingasia2021.

This month I‘ve been transported to:

🇰🇭 Cambodia
🇮🇩 Indonesia
🇮🇷 Iran
🇯🇵 Japan
🇲🇻 Maldives (not on the map - too tiny!)
🇲🇳 Mongolia
🇰🇷 South Korea

My clear favourite was The Housekeeper and The Professor, for Japan.

eraderneely Good reading! 5y
eraderneely I don‘t read quickly enough to join readingasia, but I would love a favorites list at the end of the year so I could dip into a few 5y
rockpools Fantastic going! Out of interest, what did you read for Indonesia? Any good? 5y

squirrelbrain I read this one @rockpools - only reviewed a couple of days ago. V short but I wouldn‘t really recommend it.... 5y
squirrelbrain @Cinfhen - I read this one for Mongolia. I really liked it. I think it‘s going to be a ‘travelling‘ book if you want to put your name down! #mummysquirrel has just read it and when I get it back it‘s going to @Caroline2 first. (edited) 5y
Cinfhen That‘s so sweet/ I‘ll add my name to the list and we‘ll see what happens❣️I read a different book 2 years ago set in #Mongolia which was very good 5y
Librarybelle Great progress! 5y
