so-soSo I really wanted to love this, but thought it was just okay. Idk if it‘s because it‘s been so long since I‘ve watched Buffy, but I wasn‘t really impressed with the story. I don‘t think I‘ll continue on with this comic series.
so-soI'm interested enough to read the next one, mostly because I'm attached to the characters, but this first volume didn't super impress me. Not really into Xander as some important command guy, there wasn't nearly enough Willow, and the art could be better, especially since I'm trying to recognize characters based on the actors who played them in the show. When Giles first showed up I couldn't tell it was him! I hope this grows on me.

Anytime there's a prompt for a badass heroine, my go-to is Buffy. I can't help it; she's my badass spirit animal. But all the BTVS ladies are badasses, even Cordelia who can take down a big bad with acidic words and will wield a bat when needed.
I love this show and the comics! I've been rewatching the series as I listen to the Buffering the Vampire Slayer podcast, which at least once in each episode yells at "the patriarchy." ? #riotgrams

No surprise that my favorite friendship is Buffy and Willow. They literally went through hell together. They both made bad decisions occasionally but they loved each other no matter what. That's the very definition of a great friendship. 💜 #favoritefriendship #buffyandwillow
