Stay away from this evil cult called Kindle monthly deals. Great Kindle books dirt cheap! I just bought one for 92% off, and it‘s a book I need to read for my read the world challenge. Tove_Reads @andrew65 Based on the covers I love all of them. You know the Frieda/Ben/Sean/Kim covers... a person running/standing staring in the distance/walking with his/her back towards the reader, and it‘s dark/rainy/heavy weather. (edited) 5y

I've read the tagged book:
This is an early standalone novel by Ann Cleeves. It's not as good as her Shetland Island or Vera Stanhope series but still a very good mystery. The plot is unique and one that holds your interest until the very end. The characters are interesting and Lizzie Bartholomew is bound and determined to find the killer. As in all of Ann Cleeves' books, the murderer is a complete surprise and unexpected. 5y

Andrew65 @EadieB Not Read this one yet. Not many books as good as the Shetlands Series. Would most make my top 10 or 20 series list. Seems hard to think it is all over. 😔 5y
