Speaking of cakes last night @Lindy @batsy @Reggie - it‘s my daughters 16th birthday today and this is the cake we made her. (The pink chocolate heart I bought seperately).

It‘s a dairy free cake - just because that recipe happens to work best for me. Well it was dairy free until the buttercream and flaked chocolate went on 😂😂

@britt_brooke I was going to post this yesterday but friends where down from up north and we went to a fair so that prevented me. Anyway, every time I see this cake on FB or Instagram I always think how much time it takes to make but I love it 😍 because 📚📚📚 right aren‘t cakes amazing you can make them look like almost anything 😋

No reading getting done today, because we have a full day of family fun activities to do. My oldest son has been watching baking shows so he asked to bake a cake with me. I do not bake for a reason, I am terrible at it. But I am all about challenging ourselves to try and better ourselves, plus I would never say no when my kids want to do an activity with me. My son even called gramma and said don't bring dessert tonight, he was on it.

TEArificbooks We are attempting a 3 layer, red white and blue cake, with marshmellow fluff frosting and sprinkles. Plus we have extra white mix so my youngest will have his own cake to decorate. 6y

Melissa_J My husband is the exact same way! He also seems to have some innate sense of when I finish with a dish/mug and comes into whatever room I‘m in to retrieve it before I even have the chance to get up and put it away 🤣 6y
