Everybody, Always
Everybody, Always: Becoming Love in a World Full of Setbacks and Difficult People | Bob Goff
What happens when we stop worrying about a challenging world full of difficult people and instead simply love everybody? In the highly-anticipated follow-up to the bestselling phenomenon Love Does, Bob Goff takes readers on an entertaining, life-altering journey into the secret of living without fear, care, constraint, or worry. When Love Does first appeared in 2012, Bob Goff was described as "the worlds best-kept secret." More than 800,000 copies later, he is no longer a secret. But Bob never stops surprising, and in Everybody, Always, his eagerly awaited follow-up to Love Does, he reveals what happens when we stop worrying about a challenging world full of difficult people and instead simply love them: we discover the outsized, unfettered, liberated existence weve always dreamed of. Built around Bobs hilarious and insightful storytelling, each chapter of Everybody, Always reveals a lesson Bob learned--often the hard way--about what it means to love without inhibition, insecurity, or restriction. From finding the exact right number of friends to discovering the upside of failure, Everybody, Always points the way to embodying love by doing the unexpected, the intimidating, the seemingly impossible. Whether hes skydiving without shoes or befriending a Ugandan witch doctor, Bob steps into life with a no-limits embrace of others that is as infectious as it is extraordinarily ordinary. Everybody, Always reveals how you can do the same.

I adore Bob Goff. Every time I‘ve met him he never fails to give me his full attention and make me feel as if he‘s got nothing better to do than talk to me.

I loved this book. It‘s faith with feet told by stories and examples. From stories about witch doctor school in Uganda to jumping out of airplanes with his son, it‘s a truly enjoyable read even when you‘re sure he‘s gotten off track only to find he‘s led you exactly where you need to be.

This book really helped me broaden my perspectives, which is an odd saying to me coming from a religiously based book. Normally I find a lot of them to be the same and just generic, but this book was different. Not gonna like I got emotional with the some of the sections. This is not another generic religious book. It really does teach you how to love: Everybody, Always

Bob does a great job of explaining how we should love the people around us. I love this book and would recommend it to absolutely anyone I come in contact with. In a tough world like this we need a breath of fresh air like this one. Loving everybody always is a New Year's resolution for me. I find myself going back to this book every so often, another mark of an excellent book

I loved this book. It‘s a case of right book, right time. I want to meet the Goff‘s and stay at the lodge and be their besties. I listened on audio: Bob is relentlessly perky and optimistic and excited, so of you‘re not into that just read it the normal way 😂 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I fell into this book when the acknowledgement made me pause...a box in my soul came unhinged.

Searching for self-help books I came across this one that sounded good but didn‘t realise it would be so focused on God (I‘m not religious at all) but after getting past that I‘m actually really enjoying it. If anybody has any self-help/improvement recommendations I‘d love to hear them. ❤️ #audiowalk

Trashcanman Have you ever heard of the school of life? OR Alain de Botton? He has a book called Status Anxiety I really enjoyed. And religion for Athiest, (I'm an agnostic). Anyhow, those are my suggestions, for what it's worth. 1y
Trashcanman Check out the YouTube channel school of life as well if you have time one day. 😊 1y

“What I‘ve come to realize though, is that I was avoiding the people I didn‘t understand and the ones who lived differently than me. Here‘s why: some of them creeped me out. Sure, I was polite to them, but sadly I‘ve spend my whole life avoiding the people Jesus spent His whole life engaging”.

"That's our job. It's always been our job. We're supposed to just love the people in front of us... We don't need to spend as much time as we do telling people what we think about what they're doing. We're not the school principals or the bouncers or the sheriffs. In other words, stop it. Loving people doesn't mean we need to control their conduct... Loving people means caring without an agenda." Engaging, conversational, quick read that moves & motivates one toward love in action w/neighbors in this “really big neighborhood called Earth.” Sharing his experiences, Bob Goff humorously & meaningfully demonstrates the immense power of love in the world, including people we don‘t understand. (I am reviewing the first five chapters of the book that I received from the publisher.)
