Let It Snow
Let It Snow | Erica Ridley
7 posts | 1 read | 2 to read
Adventurer Lance Desmond needs to produce a fortune before his arch-rival collects the bounty on his head. He risks an ancient curse to retrieve treasure hidden within icebound Castle Cavanaugh, only to become trapped inside. Not with the gold he so desperately needs, but with medieval Princess Marigold who's been cooling her heels since . . . well, medieval times. The lonely princess refuses to acknowledge the blossoming attraction between them. Not just because she deserves a better future than a penniless rogue. But because at midnight, he'll vanish like all her other would-be heroes. And the evergreen in the parlor will have one more figurine hanging from its boughs . . .

Le sigh. It has never snowed this much here in February in Abbotsford. Can I blame it on #climatechange? When the Pacific Northwest/Lower Mainland gets snow, we get one big dump and we‘re done with it for the winter. This month has been so odd the last 2-3 weeks.

Well we made it back home, but the roads aren‘t great. I‘d guess there‘s a good 8 inches out there already.

I‘m having bad deja vu from last time this year... tulips and daffodils peaking up green sprouts, tons of snow bury, squash and freeze them off. No flowers, and my mom had a booted foot both times. At least it‘s not broken this year.

kgriffith Holy moly! Glad you‘re home safely. I‘m in Portland, Maine, and our forecast usually more closely resembles Boston/Cambridge but so far it looks like we may be dodging the worst of it... 🤞🏻 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @kgriffith I‘m in the central NE part of the state, and we luckily here just dodged the first 2 Nor‘easters, with almost nothing, so I guess we‘re due for a trade you and I. The Poconos (a bit more N and E of here) got all three though it looks like. I think that‘s where @MrBook is from, how‘s it looking there? 6y

MrBook @Riveted_Reader_Melissa 4 or 5 inches. Not much this time, thank goodness. I have all my neighbors' driveways memorized at this point 😆👏🏻. It's the light powder too, so it was easy this time. Half the time other shovelings have taken. Thank you for asking! ☺️🤗 VERY glad you're home safe and sound 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @MrBook You‘re very welcome, I know that area got buried the first few storms. Glad it‘s coasting around you this time. 6y
MrBook @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I think Mother Nature decided that she's given this area enough memorable mayhem for awhile. 😆🙃 6y

Nor‘easter hitting us harder than I expected! No clue we were to have snow. Wish I was home on my couch with my book and a cup of tea! #ratherbereading

Jerdencon Same here... was supposed to be all rain but there is hail and snow. Fun. And windy... wish I was reading too! 6y

It's been 60 degrees in Boise since like mid-January, and I woke up this morning to 5 inches of snow. 😭
It took me 3x as long to get to work because this city doesn't believe in snow plows, and when I got here the lights were off and doors were locked.

I've learned two things today:
1. Call the boss to see if there's a snow day
2. Don't doubt groundhogs

I'm now going to begin my trek home and curl up with a book ☕📖

Jess7 Bahahahahaha! This was funny! I‘m sorry this happened to you, but I‘m excited you get a day home to read and stay cozy! 6y
emilyhaldi Atleast your story has a happy ending... Enjoy your snow day!!! ❄️ 6y
AmyG Ugh. Go back to bed. Bring a book. And the puppy. 6y

hermyknee Enjoy your day off!! 6y
MicheleinPhilly It was 80 degrees yesterday. Right now it‘s 47. 😕 6y
CoverToCoverGirl 😳☹️ but the reading part sounds good! 😊 6y
FeastOfFiction I‘m home today in Oklahoma with basically most of the rest of the state. We got an ice storm though, not snow. Wishing I could read all day, but my husband thinks I should clean stuff. 6y
Karkar How does the puppy like the snow? 6y
Bklover I have missed winter this winter. It‘s been way too warm here in southern Illinois. We‘ve had very little snow. Therefore I am a bit jealous! Enjoy your snow day! 6y
Cortg Uggg! That‘s the worst but Yay for a snow day! 6y
Rachel.Rencher Hahah thanks everyone! I ended up working from home anyway 😂 @Karkar Puppy isn't Parvo immune, yet so he's never seen the snow! He has tiny legs though so I don't think he'll like it! 6y

I have all kinds of tea and hot cocoa in the house and my plan was to just get comfy and read all day, but first one must shovel the walk. Yay. ❄️❄️❄️⛄📚📚📚

CoffeeBooksandTheDoctor Looks like where I live in Wisconsin. ❄☃️ I love the snow. 6y
DrexEdit @CoffeeBooksandTheDoctor it's totally Wisconsin, donchaknow! Of course it's going to be near 50 degrees tomorrow so all this lovely stuff will melt. 6y
CoffeeBooksandTheDoctor @DrexEdit I thought so! Lol. The houses gave it away. I moved back home from being in California the last 15 years. I missed this weather, but my boys are not used to it quite yet. They're looking forward to it being a bit warmer tomorrow, but it's back down to the 20's a few days later. I tell them all the time, welcome to Wisconsin. Lol. 6y
DrexEdit @CoffeeBooksandTheDoctor Having transplanted myself to Texas and back, I totally get where you're coming from! 😊 6y
