Calamity is the conclusion to the Reckoners trilogy. A really entertaining fantasy series, full of action. I just learned there is a Reckoners board game too! I am becoming a big fan of Brandon Sanderson 😊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

My letter C for the #LitsyAtoZ challenge is Brandon Sanderson‘s Calamity, the third and final book in his Reckoner‘s series. The series, as a whole, is a fantastic bit of science fiction, which is a bit different for Sanderson, who usually writes fantasy. However, his world creation is absolutely amazing and grips you from the start. Here he writes about people with super powers and good versus evil.
Listening to this while I play Slime Rancher on Xbox. This is one I am listening to with my boyfriend...well I was he finished it incredibly quickly
Brandon Sanderson taught me that there are different kinds of people, there are good and evil, there are people who are kind to protect your back and be by your side when you needed them. And then there are people who have principles in life — they do what they needed to do for they know what are their goal in life. Calamity is full of lessons, twists and unexpected turns of events. You want to grasp everything he wrote!
“We're not moments, Megan, you and me. We're events. You say you might not be the same person you were a year ago? Well, who is? I'm sure not. We change, like swirling clouds around a rising sun.”
― Brandon Sanderson, Calamity
A good ending of a good series. I didn't like his dad coming back though. That's the problem with multiple universes. Once somebody dies, they really should stay dead.
One great thing about marriage is that his book mail is also my book mail ;)
I still can't get a good grasp on Cody's accent in my head. I just keep switching! Exhibit A: "Don't be silly, lass," Cody drawled. "It was the king of Morocco. Cupcakes are too dainty for a Scotsman. Give him one, and he'll ask why didn't you shoot the wee cake's parents instead and serve that."
I love anything Sanderson and CALAMITY was no exception! This was much more fast-paced than the first two books and I was hoping for a bit more at the end. Still love this series and these characters. A quick and fun read as always! 4.25⭐️
