Tin House: True Crime (Tin House Magazine)
Tin House: True Crime (Tin House Magazine) | Rob Spillman, Holly MacArthur
7 posts | 2 read | 13 to read
An award-winning quarterly, Tin House started in 1999, the singular love child of an eclectic literary journal and a beautiful glossy magazine. Grand and slight, gritty and slick, our fall issue will be packing stories, essays, and poems inspired by the true crime genre. The long con is on you if you miss out on this one!

Sentences you wish you hadn't read.

saresmoore Sentences you wish you hadn't read, but you did, so you share them with Litsy because misery loves company? 7y
Gryffindorian Now I'm morbidly curious! 7y
Yossarian @saresmoore if I spread out the discomfort over a wide enough group, then less of it will fall on me. 7y

I don't know exactly what constitutes a #palatecleanser but I think I need one badly after this awkwardly unfortunate paragraph-long description of cunnilingus that included the should-have-been-unrelated phrases "masterwork of mouthcraft", "Old Europe", "flying buttress", "Finnish monks", and "soaring convexity."

mjdowens 😂😂😂 7y
StaceyKondla I want to know more about the "ardent sardines" ???? 7y
8little_paws Oh no 7y

LeahBergen I think Clement needs a "palate cleanser" after this marathon of "mouthwork". (edited) 7y
LauraJ Hmm, I'm starting to feel like my previous boyfriends either lacked skills or imagination. #LitsyAfterDark 7y

bookwrm526 Ick, ack, wwwhhhaaaattt? 7y
Yossarian @LauraJ We'll have to send Clement over. He's 24, dating a 44 year old, and has low self-esteem. 7y
MicheleinPhilly ?Which pub is it that gives out the "bad sex writing" award? Because this should be in the Hall of Fame. 7y
zsuzsanna_reads @MicheleinPhilly I think it's the Guardian 🤣 7y
Arbol What does that say? "It took more _____ to crack in to his trousers" Oh! WORK. I couldn't think what it was and was playing madlibs : fork, tork (torque), stork, spork --- really I was thinking that given how the rest of the paragraph went it could have been anything. I am disappointed and underwhelmed to find that "work" is the fill in word. 7y
