I picked up this book, because I‘m a fan of Joe‘s dad. With that being said, it‘s near impossible to not compare the two. However, I feel that Joe has earned his right to be out from under his dad‘s shadow, and the comparisons are fitting…

I absolutely love Joe Hill and have read everything of his other than this collection. I‘ve already got the other version of the collection - 20th Century Ghosts - but I just love this cover!!

So that happened.

Christmas gifts part 2 & other assorted books from the past 3 weeks, THREE! Argh!

BOOK BAN JANUARY IS BACK ON! 😆

I need to get a couple bookshelves or I‘ll need a wood chipper soon!

DinoMom I forced a “no buy books for myself year” last year and then when January hit… I may have went a little crazy . So book buy ban is back on. Well sort off. My new deal is I have to read three books from shelf and then I am allowed to buy 1 new one. 😂. I also need BBA (edited) 3y

Roary47 Yep! I have a problem too. So far I haven‘t bought anything, but avoided the book section after a few doctor bills came in. Don‘t look over there, turn your head, keep walking… Kid 1: Mommy…can we look at the books. Eek!!! Me: Not this time sweetie. 😭 3y

MemoirsForMe I went overboard myself, but I think @DinoMom ‘s suggestion is logical enough for me...especially during my weakest moments. 🤣 3y

This was very short read (26 pages) and it packed a punch. Finney is kidnapped by Albert 'Al' and locked in a basement, where Finney finds an old black phone that is not connected but will help Finney to escape. I enjoyed this short story. Highly recommended.
