One Bloody Thing After Another
One Bloody Thing After Another: The Worlds Gruesome History | Jacob F. Field
6 posts | 2 read | 62 to read
Ever wondered why Tsar Ivan was the dubbed 'the Terrible' or how King Henri II of France perished in a jousting incident? Grisly and gruesome, this book details the vile history of bloodthirsty kings and queens, savage battles, torture and punishment, as well as deathly locations from the days of the ancients to the late nineteenth century. A bloodstained tour through ages of torment, One Bloody Thing After Another explores the blood and guts of yesteryear, from the Crusades and medieval dungeons to the Reign of Terror and witch trials. Find out who bathed in the blood of young women to retain her youth and what really happened at the Massacre of the Festival of Toxcatl, all the while uncovering the most painful torture methods ever used. This is a fascinating account of terror, torture and power in all its repulsive guises... the most gut-spilling history book you'll read this year.

So...my phone died this morning. I'm having to use the app on my sons tablet. I can't access whatsapp or texts and I can't find a telephone cord to hook up our landline to call my mum. I have a micro sim meaning forking out over £100 for a phone and I can't call the provider to request a standard sim as its in my partners name so they won't speak to me. He's currently working away. I feel like life is dealing me some bad hands.

Mdargusch I hope your day gets better! 🙃 6y
laurieluna @Mdargusch it did! I'm now planning on becoming a master hacker as I managed to remotely unlock my phone so that I could access it via the pc. All photos saved! 6y
GlassAsDiamonds The day sounds like it started horribly but ha! Good work on the remote hacking!! What sort of phone was it??? 6y
laurieluna @GlassAsDiamonds a samsung. After a lot of digging and youtube video watching i found a blog that mentioned samsungs find my phone website. Gives you the ability to unlock remotely. It needs to be unlocked otherwise the pc cant access it, and the screen was kaput. X 6y
Sarah83 So sorry. Maybe they can repair it and you can safe the photos etc 6y

Pickpick

I am almost finished and I have loved this little book. Fast paced with lots of little snippets of interesting history. It is also easy to pick up and put aside since it is all in little bite size sections. If you love history with a little "ewww" I'd recommend this. ??

My brain is giving me a motherkitten hard time today. Switching over to this. If good old fashioned morbid curiosity can't get it to sit still today, nothing can. 📚😝☠️
