I am so enjoying this series & DCI Lesley Clark. #serieslove2024 #3 is set on a remote island, where secrets among its residents abound, rendering any murder investigation challenging. In #5, a wealthy lawyer & companion are found murdered in a mansion. Meanwhile, a local journalist is disappeared while she is investigating DCI Leslie‘s predecessors death.#6-Lesley senses tensions among her team members & her girlfriend is acting cagey.🔽

kspenmoll 🔼 a body is uncovered in a landslide. Leslie must put all the pieces of this puzzle together to discover the truth. #serieslove2024 (edited) 19h

#IDLR @StayCurious, and I really enjoyed book #5. Witchcraft and spookyness are definitely in this book. Many editions as it was written in 1997. #ISpyBingo found 2 spots for April&May @Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks #SeriesLove24 @TheSpineView @Andrew65 #ReadAway24 @DieAReader @GHABI4ROSES

1. A book recommendation with some very helpful information in it, because let‘s face it: if there‘s an herbal route I can go instead of starting on a high risk medication, I‘d much rather go herbal.

2. Putting together another batch of earrings to sell, as I‘ve sold through most of my stock.

3. Learning to read with a Kipper deck.

4. My partner sent me this photo of one of the irises in our yard.

5. My son completed his geometry class.⬇️

slategreyskies (Cont.) this is a big deal, because he‘s been struggling with some health issues. It may have taken him two years to do it, but he‘s passed it with a grade of a B. I‘m so proud of him. #FiveJoysFriday @DebinHawaii 2w
AmyG Hooray #5. I am not a math person and am impressed he got a B! 2w

2. Takeaway spicy dal soup made a perfect breakfast on a chilly morning

3. An especially pretty sunset

4. The selection of caffeinated teas I ordered for summer arrived!

5. After several weeks of exhaustion I‘m starting to feel more human again,🤞🏼!

AmyG Yay #5! 2w
IndoorDame @AmyG I‘m so psyched!!! It may not last cause I have a few extra work things on this coming week, but I‘m taking it as a good sign that I‘ll bounce back faster even if I do rebound. 2w

Another hard/dark story. Hard to read because story has various triggers which were so descriptive.. I‘m not a fan of magical realism but author used it amazingly. Two characters connected in two time lines? Maybe...story use the concept of quantum multiverse. The ending was expected to me as I have seen in novels read using this concept. Beautiful and thoughtful lines even in those dark parts. Brilliant. Amazing narration by author. 4/4.5⭐️

Gissy First novel by this author. I bought 3 more books by her but this one was read for #AuthorAMonth @Soubhiville

Many topics discussed in this novel (culture, social actions, identity, etc) even the role of the reader in that wonderful quote by Marcel Proust. 4/4.5⭐️

Sace This one has been sitting in my shelf forever! 1mo
Gissy @Sace It‘s good but I think you have to like magic realism and the multiverse concept. I‘m not fan of neither one but it kept my interest to continue reading it. Also, check for the triggers because it could be disturbed, uncomfortable, I don‘t know if I‘m using the correct word, for some persons. I liked the author as narrator in the audiobook. 1mo
Sace I like magical realism. Multiverse not so much. 1mo
Suet624 I still think of this book often. 4w

Close to Death: A Novel | Anthony Horowitz

Installment #5 in the Horowitz & Hawthorne series is another fun one! I listen to these because I adore narrator Rory Kinnear‘s performance. This one had a bit of a send up to some classic murder novels, which was fun. At the end, the author read the acknowledgments and said he had SEVEN MORE BOOKS planned for this series! Hopefully Mr Kinnear will be able to continue performing the audiobooks, too.

Ruthiella Seven more books! 👏👏👏 Yahoo! 1mo
Ericalambbrown @Ruthiella Right?!?! I was so happy when he said that! 1mo
