Listened to this on audio. It's hovering between a pick and a so-so for me. I didn't enjoy the audiobook reader but I found the story to be sweet and for the most part heartwarming. Definitely more of an intense plot then I expected though. A pretty average 3-star book for this one.

SilversReviews LOVE the cover. 7y

Ship of Destiny | Robin Hobb

I had a really great reading month in June! I gave four books 5🌟which does not usually happen and I got all of these books off my TBR 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

My favorites were Ship of Destiny (best fantasy book I've ever read), Spinster (if I could write, I'd want to create something like this), and Americanah (I haven't stopped thinking about it).

I hope you had a wonderful month of reading! 🤗📚

MinDea What is Spinster about? Americanah has been on my TBR forvever... 7y

I listened to this on audio and it was great! I don't read a lot of young adult books, but this was such a fun, light read and I can't wait to continue the series. The audiobook was also a great choice for this book. 👍🏻📖

I was so excited to see Behold the Dreamers is Oprah's new bookclub pick! I really enjoyed it when I read it last year and I hope this means more people will pick it up!

Finally read this beautiful, thought-provoking novel. It wasn't perfect, but it pushed me to think about things in completely different ways which was scary, enlightening, and even depressing at times. If you haven't gotten around to this one yet, I'd hugely recommend bumping this up to read asap. 👏🏻📖

Persuasion | Jane Austen

I've officially found my favorite Austen novel! I can't believe how much I enjoyed this one because I feel like it's one of hers that I hear almost nothing about so I did not go into it with my Pride and Prejudice expectations. But WOW! Anne Elliot is my everything.

Reviewsbylola That's exactly how o felt about Mansfield Park. I loved this one too. 8y

A short story collection quite different from ones I usually read. I can't say this was enjoyable but I looked forward every day to reading a story. Dark, cruel, strange, yet very realistic which is what was so fascinating.

I can't do this book justice with a review. This is by far one of the best books I have ever read. The writing is incredible and the fact that I could relate to someone who was so different from me was startling at times. It is tough and emotional but so worth it.

I've heard people say this isn't as funny as her first and while I laughed just as hard, I loved how vulnerable some of the essays were. Memoirs that are both funny and insightful are so much more real to me and I appreciate the honesty that I'm sure isn't always easy to write about so openly.

My favorite author did it again. Magical realism and the most endearing cast of characters make this book so enjoyable to read. Definitely recommend as a light, refreshing story to fall into and cuddle up with!

The format of this travel memoir kept me from really enjoying it's content. The social media posts kept me at a distance, whereas the essays beginning each chapter would really draw me in. If reading about Paris is your jam, give it a try and it might work for you!

Rereading books I read in school has been a great experience so far. This is such an important book and the way Taylor intertwines hope in between the horrible moments is masterful. A middle grade book that every person should read.

Excellent read. A non-fiction book that engages you like a novel about these women would, and a science part that could have been quite dry but ended up being fascinating. Absolutely recommend!

So creepy! A fun, suspenseful thriller that was super fast and enjoyable. Also, the pacing was great in that it never got too slow and not every single twist was thrown in at the end. Solid read!
