Yayyy!! #24in48 I did it! I read for 24.5 hours and finished 3 graphic novels and 4 novels (I was already 75% into Heartless before the readathon, though!) and got a decent way into an audiobook, too. So happy! 😊

MrBook Congratulations!!!! 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 7y

Just finished this with a few hours to go in the #24in48 readathon. It was such a good follow-up to Wolf by Wolf and had me on the edge of my seat, especially during the last half - such a good pick for a readathon!

Whoa-oh, we're halfway there!! 🎶⏱ #24in48 Listening to my audiobook for a little bit before going to bed, but I'm not sure I'll make it much longer after only getting about 3 hours of sleep last night. Incredibly happy with the amount of reading I got done today though! 💤

Finished my first full read for the #24in48 readathon this morning, and really enjoyed it. Although I think I could definitely benefit from a reread on this one, I feel like I missed a lot by reading it too quickly, but still found it incredibly written & moving. And now, on to the next read!

Finally getting to read this which was my recommendation from @Liberty here on Litsy a few months back, and I'm loving it!! It's not your typical beach read, but it's perfect for this time of year, so I couldn't resist digging into it while I'm on vacation!

Just got back from hearing a Bryan Stevenson lecture at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. If you ever get the chance to see him, GO!!!! He was beyond incredible! (Forgive the terrible picture quality, I was too engrossed in what he was saying to take a decent picture...🙃)

LauraBeth Wow - I bet that was amazing 8y
tmmahaffey @LauraBeth It really was, he's a phenomenal speaker. 8y
Scorpioseah I wish i was there too 8y
Kimzey I agree - what a powerful speaker! I heard him at a human rights conference at UAB about 10 years ago and then at the Alabama Book Festival in Montgomery last year. Rousing standing ovations both times. Now I need to read Just Mercy. 8y

This book felt like what would happen if a character from a John Green novel grew up & was thrown into a fantasy novel against his will. It's an interesting & thought provoking look at humans & our relationship to nature, with a range of very different types of characters to love & hate (including a very lovable fox, who may have been my favorite).

YA authors reading from things they wrote in their teens is never not funny! Fran Wilde, Cinda Williams Chima, Susan Dennard, Mari Mancusi, and Tiffany Trent on the DragonCon 2016 YA Juvenilia panel.
