pickI‘d been avoiding this one for years, having heard the many “I sobbed through my commute” refrains. Finally decided to steel myself & jump in; so glad I did.
A Little Life is a beautifully written, tender and devastating novel that delivers on its title: taking you through the lives of its character(s). And rarely have I been so genuinely invested in a group of characters. Touching; haunting; a true classic. But yes: it really is THAT sad.
