Woooow I loved this even more than the first!!! This was so great. I love Stevie and her group of friends, honestly all the characters in this series are top notch!! I especially loved the flash backs and interview segments in this book! I can‘t wait for the finale to this series!! And look forward to reading note from Maureen Johnson!!

Sawkill Girls | Claire Legrand

THIS WAS AMAZING!! I am shook at how great this book was, I went in with lo lowish expectations because of how hyped up this book was, but I was blown away. This was a dark, twisty and scary but also full of sisterly love and romance. This was a book of BADASS women, this book is for women, and about women! In their dark moment and strong moments and soft and dark and every moment in between. You have to read this!!!

10 Blind Dates | Ashley Elston
Pickpick

This was such a fun cute contemporary young adult read! I loved the huge family and all the blind dates, this was such a fun idea. I will say I new who would would end up with the second the character was introduced so not a lot of suspense, but it was still a really enjoyable read.

I thought this was a great conclusion to the series and a wild ending! I loved the twist and turns and there was actually a lot that happened that I wasn‘t expecting. This was a really fun futuristic setting and I want to read more books like this!! Sad this series is over but glad I got to read it!!

Yellow Brick War | Danielle Paige

I enjoyed this book, not as much as the first two but it was still good. I didn't love the beginning of this one as much just because I missed Oz. Actually even when we got back into Oz I didn't feel like it was as magical as the first two. As always the characters in this book were great I love how they interact, how they speak, how they make choices. Overall this was a good book not my favourite in the series, but I still enjoyed reading it.

The Disasters | M. K. England

#1 The was a really easy, fast and enjoyable read. I thought it had great pacing and I was not bored even once throughout this book. The characters were great, and I really enjoyed the plot as well… who doesn‘t love teenagers in space? That being said I LOVED how diverse this cast of characters was! We had different races, sexuality, languages and religions, I absolutely loving reading books that have diverse characters.

Dig | A. S. King
Pickpick

In true A.S King fashion this book did not shy away from hard topics and issues. Books like Dig make you look at yourself and the world around you and question everything. This book, I felt did a great job talking about racism both big and small, easy to spot and hard to see. All though gruesome in some parts, life is gruesome sometimes and this book did not shy away from this. It had complex characters, engaging plot and great pacing!

I'm not gonna lie I have a serious soft spot for really terrible books, I love reading books that are so bad they're almost good. (And by good I mean HORRIBLE) I think I love reading bad books because if something like this can get published, maybe I can also write a book one day! I don't even know where to start with this train wreck, it's full of clichés and bad writing.

After the Fire | Will Hill

WOW this was a wild read; I LOVED this book. This was dark and twisty and sad and though I have no experience with cults this is what I imagine life in a cult is like. This book hooked me right from the start the characters have great names. There are very few books where I feel genuine anger or fear for the characters but this book enraged me, it made me sad and overall just made me want to keep reading to make sure Moonbeam was going to be ok.

The Waking Dark | Robin Wasserman
Pickpick

This book made my skin crawl and my heartbeat. This book is gruesome, it is scary and dark and unsettling. It is a wild look into what people can and will do to people they have known their whole lives. Robin Wasserman doesn't hold anything back, there are so many deaths, young, old no one is immune, the deaths are gorey and gross and come for expected and unexpected places. I flew through this book I had to know what happened next. Read this!

Michigan vs. the Boys | Carrie S. Allen
Pickpick

This was good read not great but good. Michigan is badass let that not be lost, but she is also childish, stupid, selfish and reckless. She makes bad choices and doesn't listen to anyone about anything. She has terrible things happen to her that I know happen to women all over the world, especially women who play sports. I think this book is a beautiful idea and executed mostly in a good way, but I do think this story had some major flaws.

People Kill People | Ellen Hopkins

Book of 2019
I have a hard time with this book because it was a fascinating read but I hated all the characters. I‘m not sure if this was intentional or if the characters were all just crappy people but either way I find it hard to care about a book when I don‘t like who I‘m reading about. I do think this is a great topic to write about as it‘s ever present in our world right now. So for me this was a fast mediocre read.

Now You See Her | Lisa Leighton, Laura Stropki

Book of 2019
Overall I found this to be a mediocre read. It was very static and in my opinion none of the characters had any growth. I found this novel to be a great idea with mediocre execution. I wouldn‘t read this again but I‘m not angry that I did read it. It‘s my first flip of 2019.

Book 2 of 2019
I am in shock from how much I enjoyed this read. It was hilarious, touching and smartly paced. I loved the characters, especially Wes. I think that he is one of the best characters I have ever read about. Overall I think this was a great book full of humour, passion and great character moment.

I think that the supporting characters are realistic and honest from Amanda to Ellen. I think this book has great pacing and not one time did I find myself bored or wishing for it be over. I also really liked how Will and Ellen‘s friendship for a large part was based on a real friendship. There was fights, anger but overall their friendship was love. Part 2/2

Book of 2019
This is the perfect blend of real life and imagination for me. Teenagers stressed about their looks and lives check, Drag Queens check, mother daughter drama check, romance: check and honestly what more could I ever want in a book. I love Willowdean from her name to her thunder thighs, I think she is a character that pretty much every single person can identify with. Part 1

This was overall a really great read. I really enjoyed where the story went as well as the characters progression. I think that Bird is a a really realistic character with some huge flaws, which I really enjoyed. Not very often do you read characters that are so real! I also really enjoyed the message that every love story is an epic love story. See full review on my new blog. https://i-like-big-books.weebly.com

Although simple and a little cliched I loved all the characters, the plot and the pacing of this book. Grief is something we all face and this book did a great job of showing how grief is not something simply conquered.Paige is a complex lovable protagonist, battling with her grief as well as life as a teenager, young love, family and friends. Lord did a great job writing the complexities of being a young adult, this was more than a love story.

This book was a wild ride, in all the best ways possible! Neal Shusterman is always about to creat worlds that I can‘t help but fall into. I love young adult books like the, that bring forward real world issues in an exciting and understandable way. There was not one character in this novel that I didn't want to read more about, and that is so very rare.I flew through this book, and found that there were no parts that dragged on.

WOW! This was a perfect sequel to Caraval! I was swept up in the magic of this world and I actually think I liked reading from Tellas point if view better! She is such an adventurous, full of love and spirit and hope kind of girl!! I could read about her adventures all day long... especially when Dante is involved lol 10 out of 10 would recommend!!!

Read this when I was younger and loved it. Picked it up again on vacation and read all four books in two days. This is a delightfully cute, charming and easy read. I love Ruby! I remember reading his after my first breakup and and connecting to Ruby on a spiritual level and re reading this as an adult made me remember why I loved Ruby so much! She is Definitely flawed but so genuine and real that I can‘t help but love her!

I was actually excepting so much more from this book. It was a fun easy read but I honestly could not stand Leah! I thought she was so whiny and mean that at points I just wanted to stop. But there were some redeeming qualities the supporting characters were great and the story moved moderately fast but overall I wouldn‘t read this again.

This was really cute and surprisingly a great read. There were a few points where I had to roll my eyes, but overall this was a really lovely read. I thought Cliff and Aaron were really fun characters that brought out the best in each as the story progressed. I also really enjoyed all the other characters!
