I am not good at social media let me tell you. I‘m back again, sorta. I‘m going to try to make the effort to be more active here on Litsy, but I‘ve sang this tune before!

That aside, I recently picked up this book and the sequel. It is a really interesting modern urban legend related horror book. That was a mouthful. Hahaha. Anyway, I recommend it for the jibbies.

Bookzombie And I‘m working on a letter to you. I will mail it this weekend no matter what. 😁 6y

I was cleaning up my bookshelf yesterday and rediscovered these babies! I love this series so much. However, I am taking a break after the roller coaster that was Ghost Story. Harry Dresden is a sexy, sarcastic wizard, and I love him to pieces.

Well, it‘s official, I‘m addicted. I read the first book and now I can‘t stop. These books were meant to be for children but I get great enjoyment from them as an adult!

Just started reading these books by Dorothy and Thomas Hoobler. This is the second book in the series, and it is really interesting. They are about Samurai Detectives. I highly recommend them.

Pickpick

So I went into this book knowing nothing. I picked it up from a thrift store because it was Gena Showalter, and it had an attractive cover. I‘m really glad I didn‘t read the blurb on the book before because I was pleasantly surprised by the story. A little thrown together initially, but good. A quick and fun paranormal romance read.

A local bookstore clerk saw what I was reading, and suggested this series. About to dive in.

I have been absent for a while, but I‘m back! I finally figured out the cause of my headaches and I now have cool new specs!

Bookzombie You look great! I love the glasses. I just ordered a new pair myself. 🤓 6y
Phroop @Bookzombie Thanks! can‘t wait to see yours! 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage That‘s how I ended up with glasses too. Terrible headaches. I‘m glad you have a solution and some cute new specs! 6y

The Assassin's Blade | Sarah J. Maas

Want so badly to start Tower of Dawn, just no time. So I'm finally getting around to listening to the Novella collection instead. I'm a little miffed with myself though. I didn't realize how much I had missed by not reading these before Queen of Shadows! Ugh!

So, for those that have never heard of this series, read it. It is so good. I watched the anime before I read the books, but I am getting a lot more information in the manga. The horror, mystery, and suspense keep you guessing right up to the reveal. I think I am 2 or 3 books away from the grand reveal arcs. I don't want to spoil anything, but read it. It's so good, you won't regret it.

The Ghost in the Tokaido Inn | Dorothy Hoobler, Thomas Hoobler
Pickpick

Really enjoyed this story. It was an authentically written Japanese story. It has ghosts, thieves, samurais, and kabuki actors. Fast paced, and engaging, I am definitely interested in checking out the rest of the series. It reminded me a lot of 'The Tale of the Otori' series.

Started this a while ago and never picked it up again. Too busy with new releases. I am excited to get through it this time though. It's a short read, and it has an interesting synopsis. The writing style is also very authentically Japanese ghost story.

Mehso-so

I'm a little disappointed. This book was visually stunning, and the synopsis sounded really interesting. However, the story fell a little flat. A lot of the 'twists' were predictable and the storyline felt incredibly rushed. I enjoyed the escape from reality, and the dark mythology thrown in. However, I don't think I will get the next book.

Well, I need someone to hold me after that bomb. I thought everything would be ok, but I was so very wrong. I need to know what happens to the beautiful, wicked Queen of Terrasen. I cannot recommend this book series enough. This story has been an emotional roller coaster ride up to this point. I can't wait for the next drop.

Finished Queen of Shadows just in time for a book haul! Empire of storms is obviously my next read but what is everyone's suggestion for the book after that?

Hestapleton Caraval was lovely and I also REALLY enjoyed A Head Full of Ghosts. 7y
Bookzombie I pick A Head Full of Ghosts. It's the only one in your pic that I have read so far, but I really liked it. 7y
Phroop I think the next read will be 'A Head Full of Ghosts' then. Haha. 7y

I was afraid to start this book because of how much and how badly I cried throughout Heir of Fire. However, I really want to know what happens. No. I need to know. This series is messing with me.

kristen_reads I thought about trying this series b/c I loved ACOTAR! 7y
Phroop @kristen_in_wonderland oh you have to! The first book was hard to get into, but everything after that has been cherry. It's an incredible series. 7y

I am so in love with this story. I can't even begin to express how happy it makes me that I picked up the ToG series, and started it. It has been an amazing ride thus far, and I look forward to the second half of this book. And every book after.

I have been having a hard time reading lately, but I have been really enjoying this book. It's full of beautiful blue script and chapter dividers and some hauntingly beautiful gothic art. That is in addition to the gothic storyline and setting itself.

Not my prettiest photo, but I picked these up at a second-hand store and I was so excited. I read these when I was in high school. I have been on the fence about collecting them. Clearly the cosmos decided for me! I'm so excited to hunt for the rest so I can reread the series! If you haven't read it and you love fantasy, you will love this series.

I am so beyond excited to read this book. I have loved this game since it's initial release - in case the construction sets were not a dead giveaway. The lore that grew around this game is incredible and shrouded in so much uncertainty. The books have given theorists and fans alike something to sink their teeth into. I am so ready for this next chapter of the franchise! #fnaf #scottcawthon #kirabreedwrisley #thetwistedones
