If you think that you know the story of Jurassic Park think again.
This is an amazing story of the pitfalls of human intelligence and the arrogance of science.
With a detailed story and full formed characters you really feel invested in what is happening on the island.
To say I loved this book is somewhat of an understatement. It is a compelling read.

This is the first book in the Gideon Crew series. Gideon is the flawed hero in this novel. He is a really enjoyable character to read and you cannot help but be on his side. There is plenty of a action and plenty of humor. A word of warning the plot can times really toe the line between great story and being totally over the top. Still it is a pick from me

Another solid Jack Reacher novel and another back in time look at Jack in the army. These are great reads when you are looking for something you don‘t need to invest to much in.

Vivlio_Gnosi I'm going through the series now. About to start book 3. Thanks for the recommendation! 1w

Grisham departs from his legal thriller in this book and I was not to sure how I felt about it. The first part of the book is fast paced and thrilling, while the second part of the book is slow and meandering. It still kept my interest as I really wanted to know what happened. Overall a good read but not a great one of you are looking for a legal thriller.

In this Reacher novel we go back in time Reacher is still in the army and placed on an NSA task force to track down - well no spoilers do you‘ll have to read the book if you want to know. I love these books and this one does not disappoint.

This is the first Jack Reacher novel, and it shows. Not as polished as the later novels but it set up the Reacher character and works brilliantly. It‘s not essential to read these novels in order but this is a must read if you want to read the series. Child almost makes me want to try the hobo life.

This book was so confusing I‘m still not sure what I read. I really enjoyed the history lesson on the harbor bridge, and the conscription protests. However Axel story was confounding. Even though this book is beautifully written I would not recommend it.

This book is heartbreakingly haunting. It tells the story of women during the Nazi occupation of France. I could not put it down.

Louise Yes, what a good book! So beautifully and, as you say, hauntingly written. 3w

Joreads I cried as well. I was so moved I had no idea Isabel was based on a real person that makes it even more real. 3w

I really love these books. The vampire world that Ward has created is amazing. These books follow the Black dagger brotherhood. Each book focuses on a brother and tells his story. If you love vampires, love romance and love a good fight check out this series

I am still not sure what Elif Shafak was trying to do with the novel. It was a patchy story and the@time shifts were not handled well. The general premise was great but it did not come off.

I loved this book from start to finish. A unique twist on the Cinderella tale. This book reels you in and keeps you hooked. If you love fairytales and fantasy then do yourself a favor and fantasy then pick this book up. But please bear in mind this is the first in a series and it finishes on a cliffhanger.

Dorset 1348 and the plague starts to sweep through the country. This is the story of Lady Ann and her people. This book is over 550 pages long however I never felt the length. The struggle to survive the plague and the political intrigue of the time were enough to keep me turning pages. Be aware that this book end on a cliff hanger of sorts so you will want to pick youthful second novel the minute you finish.
