Just finished this hefty volume after many months of study! By no means is it a Master‘s Degree in one book but it does act as a good starting point for all the major Seminary topics. I learned so much! Plus, it added a lot more books to my TBR list for further study (as any good educational book should).

Knowing Hell awaits,
Paul urgently spoke the Truth.
Love demands action.

This book offers a look into the Biblical perspective on Hell. Admittedly, I was left wanting in terms of length of the book even if it wasn‘t meant to be an exhaustive work on the subject. Nevertheless, it wraps up with the important “so what?” We as Christians should not be excited at the reality that Hell exists but rather respond with loving, compassionate urgency.

Through the glass He sees.
Dials turn spelling the key,
revealing what‘s sought.

Although written in a compelling and fast paced manner, I had difficulty enjoying this novel due to the heavy handed agenda of casting doubt on modern Christianity while uplifting pagan practices and ideals. Moreover, the line between well-researched historical context and molding facts to serve the plot was too blurred for my enjoyment.

His gaze pierces veil
past flesh, into soul. The Groom
delights in His Bride.

Not only does Matt Chandler explain how The Song of Solomon applies to dating, courtship, romance and marriage but he appreciates and marvels at the medium by which these truths are conveyed. To top it off, he shows how marriage is tightly woven into God‘s sanctification plan. No matter what stage of relationship someone is in, this book is worth a read!

Two beasts made to hate.
One gave in; One learned to love.
Love wins with a flash.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a compelling story showing that although a person‘s or Wolf-dog‘s life may shape him or her towards a morose, solitary and hateful disposition, it is never too late as long as someone is willing to extend a hand. Plus, I find London‘s portrayal of the wild and the domestic captivating.

Iron and Cypress,
He hangs. Abba looks away.
The Great Rescue Plan.

This book is such an enjoyable take on how all the stories of the Bible tell the story of our great Rescuer. The stellar illustrations pair well with a writing style that combines a light-hearted attitude with deep, spiritual lessons. It‘s perfect for kids and adults alike!

Tongues of Flame appeared.
The Holy Counselor moved
and they submitted.

Enjoyed this book thoroughly! Francis Chan has a way of offering Biblical truth in a simple way that is both convicting and applicable. This quick read not only leaves me craving a deeper relationship with Holy Spirit but also offers a good look at how the Church needs to be dependent on the Spirit in all areas.

Starting a new journey and it looks promising!

AutumnRLS Good luck! I've read them all and really enjoyed most of the experience. Around book 10 it gets a little rough, but hang in there. Brandon Sanderson did a great job finishing the series. 5y
Jaszott77 @AutumnRLS Thanks! I‘ve heard that too. I‘ve always been a bit intimidated by this series but I‘m excited to take it on. 5y

How can I not “Helldive” into this next book after the way Golden Son ended?! #Darrow #RedRising #BreakTheChains

DGRachel I envy everyone who reads this series with all the books released. I had to wait 13 months between GS and MS because Brown missed a deadline and the release date was delayed. 😭😭 6y
Jaszott77 @DGRachel That would be absolute torture! I made sure the first trilogy was complete before I started. Too often I find myself in the scenario you experienced! 6y

“Sometimes you have to watch somebody love something before you can love it yourself. It is as if they are showing you the way.”

Sounds promising! Hopefully, it is a good read while I wait for Golden Son and Morning Star.

I thoroughly enjoyed the depth and character this book brings to the already complex world of Westeros and Essos. It provides background and context to areas that have yet to be touched by the narrative of A Song of Fire and Ice. I am continually amazed at the worlds that fantasy writers bring to life! I just wish The Winds of Winter would be released already. Am I right?

I enjoy a good graphic novel! They‘re fast paced. They‘re visually stunning. And they really allow authors and artists to collaborate in a unique manner of storytelling. Decided to download this guy after watching the movie the other night. Hopefully V‘s dialogue is just as alluding and alliterative as Hugo Weaving‘s portrayal.

It‘s time for me to finally finish the last three books of the Harry Potter Series. I‘ve seen the movies but I need literary closure. Plus, I‘ve never seen a movie better than the book. Am I wrong?

(No books were harmed in the taking of this picture 😉)
