Pickpick

Read the series out of order, this is book 10 and I think I‘ve only read the first 3 or 4 so far but I needed a book that started with Z. Which is fine as each book is mostly about a different brother. This was good and I ugly cried while reading it, but it was sweet too. Some spicy moments but they made sense in the context. Mehso-so

I just couldn't get into it. Probably the family drama and then 'I don't want to talk about' attitude. I had trouble keeping characters in 'Diary' straight in my head. Not author's fault just me. (I should start a Goodreads shelf for that.) Also if I found a Tell All Diary it wouldn't take me days to read it. I'd stay up all night. 💁‍♀️

The Sirens of Titan | Kurt Vonnegut

Pickpick

Despite my 70s-esque cover edition, this was an interesting read. Originally published in 1959, Vonnegut does a great job of making the story timeless. And I can see how this book influenced later sci-fi authors.

I finished it at 12:03am, but I‘m counting it as a June 29 read. 😉

Review on GR forthcoming, but I rated it 4-stars and a definite pick.

Aimeesue The mountain/mouse bit caught my eye, because I read the same metaphor yesterday in The Moving Toyshop and had to look it up. Now I'm going to see it everywhere, right? 😄 6y
wanderinglynn @Aimeesue Yep! 😂😂😂 6y
SleepyDragon The copy I read in May also had that cover. Lol 6y
wanderinglynn @NeesyBeth Glad to know I‘m not the only one who had this edition! 😂 6y
